Glad it was helpful! As per my knowledge, the EvoGuide 50ED has 2 Ohara glass lenses, 1 being the S-FPL 53. Thanks for the sub. Appreciate the support.

I have the exact same setup as you. I don’t have the Field Flattener though. I have often considered doing what you are describing. I can’t wait to see your results. Excellent video. Thank you.

Sounds great! I will get some imaging results as soon as the weather permits. My Edge HD 8 is also waiting since December last year for favourable weather conditions. CS!

You could use a longer dovetail bar and mount the guide scope on the bar under and in front or the EVOGuide.

You can screw in the ASI directly on the Evoguide. No need to use nose ring.

Don’t know if you mentioned it but StariZona also Makes the clamshell to mount a guide scope … I love my AZGTi /Evoguide 50 setup …. Btw try a 1/4 diagonal … some have gotten focus with cheap ones ….. this was my first refractor😂❤

Thanks! I considered the Starizona Camshell but somehow it hides the nice appearance of the tube. I first included that in the video but later deleted it...Great tip about the 1/4" diagonal. Hope you are enjoying the EvoGuide imaging setup. Cheers!

Another good video, thank you indeed. I read somewhere ( i think) that the Evoguide 50 cannot be used with a diagonal for visual observation. Is that true ?

Thanks! 50mm aperture is too small for visual observations. It’s better to buy good quality binoculars instead. Moreover it’s an ED Refractor. For visual, large aperture 100 mm or more Newtonians are better suited.

Thank you AC. Some call this scope the RedCat51 k*ller! Only a few weeks ago I used this little scope to take my first ever astrophotograph of a deep sky object, and I was blown away by what it could do, even in a 10 minute integration. Here it is: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oOCDeLSGr5ispmQ.html
