I pulled a green wave CJ stroud first box I opened last night… I live in Houston and it’s been pretty much impossible to find decent prism product in Walmart or retail in general so I got on Facebook marketplace and found a guy selling them for $30 a box. I bought eight boxes I opened one box in my truck before I started to drive home and boom Stroud Greenwave the card looks absolutely immaculate, perfectly centered, perfect edges and corners and I still have seven boxes to go

Something I like about this guy though. In some of his videos, when he films while he goes to stores looking for cards. If he sees other people in the card section when he gets there, he’ll wait for them to get done getting what they want before he starts grabbing boxes. He also almost never buys all of a product off the shelf, unless there’s only a few boxes left or something. He usually leaves product for other people, he just goes around to multiple different stores and stocks up.

hey man i hope you didn't think i was taking shots at you yesterday as that wasn't the message i was conveying......all i ever really bought was retail due to not being able to even back then buy the higher end stuff. the larger breakers and panini have worked together to enrich themselves through a simple children's hobby to the point where everyday collectors can't afford it anymore and that's what really burns me about this whole issue.

So awesome to see this many get ripped! My wife and I did a rip of 4 for our channel but nothing huge, but then she went back to walmart and there was more so she bought four more for us to do a personal rip and we hit a CJ Stroud Silver, and a CJ Stroud green wave Prizm Break in the same pack!

@@popsdyer731my wife helped me last year, I told her to pick up any update hangers she saw. She only picked up 7 or 8 but in those that she bought I got a Bobby Witt SP, Shohei Black Gold Black parallel and a Julio Orange. Believe it or not the Shohei and Bobby were in the same hanger

i knew there was a reason i tuned into your channel more than others! i have had some of my best pulls from retail so. i remember back in the 98 thru 2001 seasons me and a friend would be at a super k late night buying blasters for $20 a pop and going to the back of his car and opening them....then hitting up the ihop in the same lot.....great times!@@skybcards

When it comes down to it I'm a straight ripper and I rarely hit a break or two here and there. I prefer ripping my own ish because my collectkon of cqrds is one of a kind whrn it comes to unique cards. Breakers have great cards some priceless but kf course they do.... The ppl lining their pockets are their customers that buy into 5 breaks a day and only get hiys from 1 or 2 out of 5 to 6. Pick your spots sparingly and only break for those hard chasers ypu cqnt get outta your bought packs.

Great content - I really enjoy the videos because I open pretty much only retail. LCS's are so expensive by me and to follow up on my comment on the last video. No idea why Walmarts by me would stop carrying cards - the shelves were always ripped apart. I think it became too much to manage people walking off with them. I was in Target today, the Prizm Monopoly 1st edition was reduced to $12 from $33. The store had 2 of them, luckily I realized one had already been opened and the card packs were taken.

hoping to find a few of these but have a feeling at this price they'll be gone really fast. These are a good rip or hold imo, less parallels /10 means hitting a stroud is even more difficult if they printed a ton of these so a stroud gold wave would be massive

a true rookie gold shimmer went for 12k on ebay but who knows if the sale actually went through. the inserts would def be closer to 1-2k but a true rookie wave could be 5 figures... I'm wondering if hobby shares the hanger checklist. because there are gold waves on hobby checklist, does that mean they're going to be even harder to hit from a hanger? lol. @@skybcards 🤯
