In an effort to show off the electrifying feeling of skysurfing, Sean MacCormac and Jon Devore plan a trip to Florida to skirt the edge of the giant thunderheads that accumulate over the state. It's a plan with high voltage consequences.

What a good thing the internet is, I didn't even know what a base jump was yesterday. Today I've probably seen 4 hours of Red Bull Content, containing skydiving, base jumps and a lot of other mind-blowing stunts. And this video came out almost 5 years ago. And I've seen content as old as almost 10 years if not more. This is awesome. Much respect!

That was crazy awesome! When he was coming down with the lightning in the background, wow! If you would of had a camera with a flash, imagine the photos you could have gotten! Just an option for your next jumps, great stuff!

Doesnt lightning find the closest route to ground? So it would never hit them. Correct me if im wrong

Theres an excellent Sixty Symbols video about lighting and weather. We really don't understand lightning. Also, planes are often struck by lightning so no, they could be hit by lightning. It's more a matter of charge.
