I've been watching these ASMR videos for a few months now, checking out dozens of channels to see who does it best, but I was always denied the legendary *tingles* until now. @5:40 when you said close your eyes for the first time I finally got the tingly sensation.

There’s a possibility that if the gain was really high on the mic and the earphones were loud that they might’ve been feeding back. Meaning the sound coming out of the earphones was getting picked up by the mic, amplified and sent back out the earphones and into the mic over and over, usually creating a squeal. Usually would happen if the earphones weren’t in your ear. Or maybe it’s something else.

The squeak might’ve been your earphones! I’ve got some old apple earphones that started doing that every now and then when I plugged them in or if the wire was at a weird angle. Great vid btw ❤

glad the mic is still okay ! it's a life saver and very much needed so ... 🫣 also if ***IF*** it broke one day... _IF_ how about a kirby themed mic !? with like a kirby looking cover instead of this bland black one !? it would be soooooooooo cuuuuuute plus it won't stand in the way of mic asmr cause you rarely cover your mic with stuff (from what I think) so yeah ! a pink mic would be da best 🤧🩷

it sounds like the high squeal was feedback. if you had your gain up high and / or the output level high enough that the mic could pick up itself through the headphones it would squeal. nothing to worry about regarding the functionality of your mic if that is the case.
