"Made weak by time, and fate; but strong in will; to strive, to seek, to find and not to yield Best part. I could watch it a thousand times

Chairman, ministers, I've repeatedly heard how irrelevant my department has become. Why do we need agents, the 00 section? Isn't it all rather quaint? Well, I suppose I see a different world than you do, and the truth is that what I see frightens me. I'm frightened because our enemies are no longer known to us. They do not exist on a map, they aren't nations. They are individuals. And look around you - who do you fear? Can you see a face, a uniform, a flag? No, our world is not more transparent now, it's more opaque! It's in the shadows - that's where we must do battle. So before you declare us irrelevant, ask yourselves - how safe do you feel? Just one more thing to say. My late husband was a great lover of poetry, and um - I suppose some of it sunk in, despite my best intentions. And here today, I remember this, I think, from Tennyson: We are not now that strength which in old days moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are. One equal temper of heroic hearts, made weak by time and fate, but strong in will. To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Poetry is a strong art. No art for eyes like a painting but for the mind and soul. Poetry can fit in anything whether it go with paintings, music, in movies, or books. Poetry is important to the world because they contain messages of history and maybe even a prevention for an event or a message from fate. Tennyson is a great poet, and its amazing they used one of his final stanzas and recited it in this movie. Always remember who you are and what you stand for before the darkness & time ends you

+Tancri Von Bouzin we realy need a bond film about islamic terrorism.

bigbaba1111 It would be nice, though how slippery would that be! It would be quite difficult not to fall in to caricature, islamophobia, and still create a nice tension

And now with San Bernardino, CA. This scene is so frightening to watch after these events. It's like this scene is taken straight from reality, and not a movie. Just absolutely frightening. This is probably one of the best, if not the best, scenes in the James Bond movie franchise.

It's interesting to note that this movie is also, in a way, expressing perhaps the director or the producer's view/opinion on the recent debate over the relevance (or morality) of the NSA, CIA, MI6...and secret intelligence agencies in general.

It's just the cycle of life. There are those who stand for shadows, there are those who fight for light. There are survivors, there are fighters, there are heroes, and there are the weak. We have the hopeless, we have the faithful. If the darkness is what you stand for, then the light will always be in your way. A continuous battle of good and evil. Everything of what you stand for and believe in is what makes who you are and plays your part in life & humanity.

M sketches the current situation so well: against terrorists you cannot fight with bombs, drones or rockets, we need secret service agents to explore neighbourhoods, to visit public events, and to react quickly when a terrorist picks his gun

This came out in 2012 when London hosted a successful Olympic games (after Beijing's super expensive one). This quote could also reflect Britains standing in the modern world.

Better than the whole of Spectre.
@robmuir44608 жыл бұрын
+Sumeragi Kishi I have to disagree. Skyfall was fresh and well written. Spectre was reheated Bond, old cliches and little of the character development of its predecessor. As wonky and dull as Quantum in my opinion.

I saw Mi5, Spy, and Man from Uncle that year . Though they were all good, spectre is the only one i gave repeat viewings. imo it just needed to delete the london finale and focus its efforts on the morocco lair

@Oracaattack23 Who are you to say that we don't still live in "a golden age of espionage"? Only it needs a new word attributed to it, because as she said the game is changed. It isn't flags and uniforms any more, its subversive people who either think they can run the world or who just want to watch it burn. The game has changed, and for the worse. And we still need people watching the shadows...

Lets pretend that this would be an american movie with M being played by Jamie Lee Curtis what would this speech sound like? Would it focus on a faceless enemy or would it go on and on about ISIS and other such organizations that usa feel that they have to deal with? (creating more problems then they're solving)
