Giants is probably the most nostalgic game for me EVER (Spyro ripto's rage is 2nd tho) just because of the great memories i have of this game and the memories of going skylander hunting with my dad are truly things i will cherish for forever. Love the skylander videos. Keep pushing hard and you will become big. Keep up the great work.

I have only played the first four Skylanders games, and out of them, Giants is easily my favorite by far. It’s like Spyro’s adventure but with infinitely more creativity, passion, and fun.

The “portal owners pack” was such a chad move though.

2:34 so there was an official poster released for SSA that showed all Skylander in groups of 4 by element. The 8 who didn't return were the 8 who were displayed last in those groups of 4 were the 8 who didn't return. I literally have visions of a guy in Activision just drawing a straight line down the end of the poster to show the 8 they'll cut.

Series 2 skylanders are available for fans that didn't get the first one but if they're missing sunburn then well. They can't do anything.

I got the pumpkin eye brawl as a kid and I was upset because the design looks so cool and it didn’t show up in the game.

Actually there’s a small error in regards to the starter packs. Jet Vac and S2 Cynder were actually available in singles for, simply for those who chose to buy the Portal Owners Pack. And yes, I do mean regular non-lightcore Jet Vac. They weren’t as readily available as others, but I recall seeing them at Kmart and Big W back in the day

I remember seeing JetVac stand alone figured at Target one time. I assume it's the same for Cynder, all tho I don't remember seeing her series 2 version at any stores.

I remember playing through the entirety of Nightmare mode when I was like 7 or 8 with my 30+ characters. It was pretty easy since I had so many characters because they revive after a level.

I’m so close to collecting all the giants, all I need is eye brawl, bouncer, and ninjini not counting the cores and series 2

Skylanders giants is my second favourite skylander game

favorite Giant is Eye-Brawl, I just love the design and brawler type characters are some of my favorites, second is Swarm, I went with the swarm path. Pop Fizz is my favorite of the new characters with Hot Dog being second. Lightcore was cool but needed something else and Jet-Vac sucked, his abilities felt weak and I rarely used him if anything replace him with a different new skylander. S2 Cynder was a good choice showing off the new wow pow and Tree Rex was a good starter Giant, his kit has good damage and covers both closer range and long range. Overall I enjoy giants more, the character designs feel more polished in the existing engine and having them say there catchphrase was a nice touch even if some of the wording didn't work so well. I play Giants more then the original mostly because of the polish they implemented, also the fact they made packs for those with the portal was great and didn't feel like they wanted all the money ahem *trap team*

Even though I do like Skylanders: Giants, it isn't as enjoyable and nostalgic as Spyro's Adventure for me. I really like the concept of giant skylanders and the fact they stomp on chompies and other small enemies but their big hitboxes make dodging enemies attacks harder and they're kinda clunky, especially in the 3DS version of Giants. I definitely prefer Swap Force and regular skylanders over Giants. The 3DS version of Giants is the first game I got for my 3DS but sadly it's pretty unplayable because the gameplay and framerate suffer from constant slow downs, especially when a giant is a playable character, and the game freezes sometimes. It's really sad because I do like the story, characters and some of the improvements. The Adventure pack chapters from the 3DS version of Spyro's Adventure are poorly optimized for the 3DS version of Giants.

0:58 really speaks the overall quality of the gimmick here. Giants are nothing special as a concept goes, a smaller dude can basically do the same thing if they are sufficiently strong. They are not even that giant, they are like 1/10th the size of the arkeyans, and they only stand slightly taller then regular skylanders ingame. The only time they ARE shown to be giant looking are in commericals. But more or less, they are oversized members of their species. And their abilities ingame really don't give the impression "wow, so this is the power of a giant? so cool!". You can literally give this power to a smaller Skylander and receive the exact same results. It's such a lazy concept that they thought in 5 seconds that and I'm glad the other 4 games were more original in concept. The only Giant(s) that I cared for was Eye-Brawl (since he is strong and has laser beams. Also I was on team Undead back in the day). Crusher, Hot Head, and Dijjini I guess, but they still don't give an epic inpression as I would want them to have. Maybe its from the artstyle. But I feel more for the regular core figures then the title characters. 13:28 I 100% agree, besides the addition of the Giants and Skystones, not much has really changed at all. Its like glorified dlc that's better than the base game. 14:00 You really should've made a let's play of the Skylanders just to see your 100%ing the games in nightmare mode lol, it would've been enjoyable. Also, I feel like this was wasted potential on the fate of the Fist of Arkus. It could've been used for a plot point later on, to be found and used by someone who wishes to conquer Skylands, but is smarter than Kaos and seeks to modernize it. Another scenario is that since the Fist was found by Chompies, they could've relayed this information back to the Chompy Mage and he could've used the fist for himself. And also because he literally first appeared in the game the Fist of Arkus was in? Because really, the ability to control very powerful ancient army of robots that are scattered all other the place is a good deal.

Mikenoid how were you able to find series 2 drobot, I swear even after the franchise is dead, I can't find him on amazon, and is it true what ppl said that lightcore drobot don't got that wow pow cuz he's lightcore even though he got that orange base and was from spyro's adventure
