Thank you very much for this information! It's very helpful. . I bought two (similar) manual skylight cellular blackout shades around 2009-2010 from JCPenney furniture dept. It's been 10 years since installed and slowly both my blinds won't stay open, and one also slides uneven at an angle. I couldn't remember the manufacturer of my blinds and I lost the purchase order. When I couldn't find similar products online to refer to for identification, I searched KZfaq for any DIY adjustment guides. Found your video ... and to my surprise the blinds matched mine! Perfect! I really appreciate your video! The adjustment review helps me tremendously, now I know where to find the lines and how to adjust my blinds. 🙏 (I'll be saving the link to your site for blind orders too!) Thank you.

Great video! I installed mine today (47x47) and it came out perfect. However revise the Bali installation guide because the side rail thinner lip needs to be installed facing down and the thicker lip facing out towards sky.

How do you pull the shade down? Do you have to keep a ladder close by? I had ones that I used the pole to pull down the shade. Do you have that?

Thank you for the video. I received my shade yesterday and reviewed the instructions, which were less helpful than this video. The drawings in the instructions are unclear as to whether the narrow or wide projections from the side rail goes on the side facing the floor/room; in fact it looks like they have the narrow projection placed where the video says to put the wide projection. And the order of installation is different in the video versus the instructions.

I can’t get the blind to snap in place

The video was great. I installed shades in all 3 of my skylights probably 20+ years ago and need to remove them as the are filled with roofing material from a re-roofing job and and new skylight install. Is removal just as simple as it looks? Just do the reverse?

What percentage of the window is covered by the shade when it's pushed completely open?

paid $500 for a Sears installer to hotch potch a regular blind into 2x4' skylight without side tracks or any adjustments for tension (what a rip off)...after one week we were unable to close the blind past 45 degrees....thank you for this video ...had I seen it 7 years ago I could have saved all the money we spent on a new dining room set,carpet etc. that was damaged by the sun...bottom line ...inform yourselve well before you buy!
