Give some thought to trying a Twisted Hobbys 32" Light monoplane series plane (the Laser is a great one) . They go together similar to this, but are about half the weight. That really translates in the flying...you'd be amazed. I've flown that Sbach, with the right set-up on each plane they fly very similar to the Eratix, and they are both very good...especially to someone with very little 3D profile foamy experience. The lighter Twisted Hobbys planes are on another level that you just can't imagine until you fly one. That said, and this may be a factor for you, the lighter ones are geared more for making 3D easy, for sport flying the heavier ones like the Sbach are probably better. I like the size. I like the price. From this video I like the way it flies. I like that bu8ilding one would give me ideas for building my own scratch profile planes. I just might get this one or one of the other similar models. Is there a profile to the wing or is it just flat? I don't think that type foam is readily available; would two layers of Dollar Store foam board have about the same thickness? Thanks.
