Vladimir Putin began his fifth term as Russian president at a palace in Moscow in front of a crowd of faces - including actor Steven Seagal and the leader of a biker gang.
"We are a united and great people and together we will overcome all obstacles, realise all our plans, together we will win," he said after being sworn in.

I don't think Israel is a country, let alone a democracy. It is a colonial outpost. A country has : - 1. Constitution. Israel doesn't. The reason for not having are the points below. 2. A country has defined boundaries. Israel purposely doesn't and claims territories of Lebanon and Syria as well as whole of Mandatory Palestine using biblical terms like Judea and Samaria. Israel was granted 56% of the land in the UN Partition Plan in 1947, occupied 78% in 1948 and 100% in 1967+ Sinai Peninsula, Golan Heights in 1973 and parts of Lebanon. It refuses to state it's borders because no foreign country will recognize it and itself feels it can capture some more land if the opportunity comes in the future. 3. A country has citizenship laws. It has a screwed up concept of citizenship. Any person who can claim his/her grandparents were Jewish is a citizen whereas the displaced Arabs kicked out from Israel of 1948 and other occupied areas are not citizens or even residents. It even takes in fake jews to fill up the occupied "settler" areas outside 1967 borders, like Mizo/Kuki Indians who are of Tibeto-Burman heritage.
