hey there Israeli here here is some further context if needed to the alleged israeli attack on the Iranian Quds force members in Damascus - the building that was strack was not a part of the Iranian embassy compound. said building is adjacent to the Iranian embassy compound - not in any way falls under the protection of international law as it was used as a terrorist hub, just like any other building, ones it is in use to conduct military operations it losses any diplomatic immunity and international law protection whatsoever. you can literally see in the video of the aftermath of the strike that the Iranian embassy compound fence is still intact (left half of the frame) and the building that was destroyed is on the right half of the frame. and again the building was not only used as a consulate, it was also used as war room for the Iranian branch of the Quds force - the Iranian military branch that is in charge of arming training and guiding the pro islamist militias in their ongoing endeavor to try and destroy the Israeli state. ones again as in any theater of war, ones the building becomes a military target it loses any so called protection under international law (not that it had any to begin with as i explained) remember - The difference between diplomatic and consular immunity is that an accredited embassy diplomat has absolute immunity. A consular diplomat has immunity only while acting on official government/consulate business. - from that you can extrapolate what that means in regards to the consulate ground. furthermore while the whole building was destroyed and 16 people were killed. 7 of them were Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps soldiers 5 of them were Iran-backed militiaman 1 of them was a Hezbollah fighter 1 of them was a Iranian advisor and unfortunately 2 of them were civilians - seems like another high precision hit by the Israeli air force (alleged) again - the positions of the people that were naturalize on said strike speaks volumes on the use of the building and the legitimacy of the strike stop believing Pan Islamist propaganda!
