Her Majesty reminds me of my own Nanny. She instilled in me an appreciation for the British Royal Family. We are, after all, connected through history. Nanny died in October 2021. As an American, my first meeting of Queen Elizabeth II was as a small child watching her coronation on TV. I fell in love with this most beautiful lady and have loved her ever since! I cried for her as I watched her standing in the rain watching her beloved Windsor Castle burn, at her dear sister’s funeral & soon after her beloved Mother’s. My heart broke for her as she sat alone at Prince Phillip’s funeral, she looked so small &.devastated. She was a true Queen in every sense of the word, an extraordinary woman, respected by all world leaders. I am 78 years old now & feel like I’ve lost a member of my own family. She was always my Queen, too! I miss her & will until the day comes the Lord calls me home. I know I will finally get to meet her there after all these years. I loved her, too.
