Contemporary generations do not want figurants with their dresses, tiaras, costumes, expensive galas, pride and lack of basic gratitude, compassion and humility. This king needs to abdicate before there is a revolution in Danmark. The common whealth countries are already ready. Margrete know this. Among other reasons she needed to abdicate fast. Well the our PM Mette Frederiksen is quite unpopular at the moment. Her proclaiming him King is just seen as procedure and has no political ramifications here in Denmark.

Infact our PM Mette Frederiksen, is the second female PM.

The rules has been for the last 3-4 times, when a monark dies, the prime minister , talks for the new one on the balcon. Our prime minister for the last several years are Mette Frederiksen, which is Leader of the socialdemocracy party, which has been the biggest in al my lifetime. The last year, she has been Leader of a three party coalition, which are loosing voters all three. So she is not more unpopulare, than the other leaders. Just a minor correction.
