@@nonameaccount7773On my first playthrough, I crossed paths with a bandit in Bleak Falls that screamed "I yield!" I was like "Oh great! they added mercy to the game? neato!"... And proceeded to be criss-crossed by the basterd. That didn't live long enough to yield another time... That was less than a nuisance to have to re-fight the bandit than the disappointment that, even as they left all the content implying it was there, there isn't such an action as mercy in Skyrim. And that made me sad.

Yeah, that honestly bothered me quite a bit. After all, he even admits that he is the inferior warrior ... and then proceeds to attack you? That's just awful writing on Bethesda's part. Maybe if he had gone the extra mile to hire some thugs to jump you once you've cleared out the giants, it would have made some sense, but like this it just ruins the immersion. :|

Maybe he assumes the Giant softened you up?

Also, he seems to think that he can deceive a Daedric Prince.

My main character never lies when it's an actual choice. He's a super egotistical Dovahkiin & wants everybody to know who he is & what he's done. Every tavern he's in, he will request the Bard sing "The Dragonborn Comes" every chance he gets. So yeah, still an asshole, but not a liar.

Thanks to Archmage robes, one of the dragon priest masks, skills in destruction tree that allow me to cast for half magicka plus some additional armour/jewelry, spamming dual cast fireballs is a really nice way of cheesing through things you dont want to try very hard on :3

All Vendors that are inside houses do that

All NPCs, vendors or otherwise, will try to keep you in their sights when you are within their property. It's supposed to make stealing their stuff harder because you can't easily sneak out of detection. Although, given how buggy navigation can be at times, it's still not actually difficult. Or, you know, just break in at night...

I try to keep the woman alive, sometimes tricky if her mate is a dark brotherhood contract (you won’t get it if you destroy the brotherhood) because she is nice to me saying always good to have you around. I tend to if I'm playing a goldish dragonborn to keep them alive long enough to build my mansion in the Falkreath hold then murder them to death..or if I'm playing an asshole just kill them..usually I just kill them though 😂😂

In fact, all of Skyrim's citizens seem to have an oddly high literacy rate for a setting that is almost completely devoid of schools and other educational facilities. Sure, some people may have learned to read in the temples, but I doubt that works as an explanation for everyone that owns books.
