For gear there are better options. One of the dwarven crowns from the forgotten seasons dungeon gives 50 health, +10 to light and heavy armour and has a 10% health regen Chrysamere is a greatsword that gives health while in combat. The warlock's ring casts a ward when you block and i think it gives some health regen And the fists of randagulf are always a great choice for gauntlets since they increase all melee damage and reduce damage taken while blocking.
