Witness Andy and Mike mix this spiced wine Skyrim cocktail, then Luke, Ellen and Jane suffering the consequences. There's also a non-alcoholic variant for non-drinking viewers! the closest thing taste wise to skyrims nightshade (black belladonna) would probably be dark cherries, the really dark kind that isn't even really sweet or sour anymore. Or maybe pommegranade, the testimonials i can find are more about hallucinogenic effect rather than taste testing

@Fort Blocks Well.... I think they actually use the full potato, then strain out the solids after fermentation. Never actually seen a proper run-down of the steps to completion.

As a bartender I have a love-hate relationship with these videos! I would suggest the following in future for this drink. - To melt the honey and sugar into a combined syrup. - To use vodka instead of any real potato - To ensure the orange juice is pulp free - To use a merlot as the base wine (good intuition Ellen) And use the cinnamon sticks as garnish on the glass (the look Andy was after I believe) If you want ideas for more episodes let me know :)

The reason they say nutmeg is poisonous in particular is actually a reference to an older Show of the Weekend, where Andy was poisoned with nutmeg and Ellen had to solve the murder case

And there's some pretty cheap/bad pinots noirs out there. Plus, when it comes to cocktails, you should always choose the best ingredients available for your budget if you want it to taste good. Though in this case, with the honey and cinnamon, I doubt quality is going to be a issue.

MII 9 To be fair, almost all of the food items in Skyrim are useless. Unless you're using some sort of needs mod and/or Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul, potions will do the job much better.

Black nightshade berries are edible apparently. And taste a bit like 'a cross between a tomato, a tomatillo and a blueberry, both savory and sweet.' Which sound a bit more cocktail-friendly...but, hey what do I know? Next time I have a Gin & Tonic I'll garnish it with a nice slab of raw parsnip. Might be good.

I love the cocktail videos! A couple of tweaks and this one could be good. (Maybe.) Honey works great in cocktails if mixed with an equal amount of hot water to make a honey syrup. It’s easy to infuse potato vodka with muddled blackberries for a good few days, or longer, and then strain it to get a sort of psuedo-liquer. If you’ve got leftover mulled Cabernet at the end of your holiday party, standard cocktail procedure might get you a decent drink. Glass full of ice, a shot of homemade blackberry vodka, a couple tablespoons of honey syrup, fill 3/4ths full with cooled wine, stir to combine and (if you’re me) top it with a twist of orange and some club soda for a bit of fizz. Looks like I know what I’ll be trying the day after Christmas.
