Really great load order, many ideas here I never thought about. I am not a fan of valhalla combat, and I know I am alone in that, everyone seems to love it, it is just not my cup of tea, but every other mod here sounds like a great combination. will be performing open heart surgery on my load order and trying this out.

Honestly, Valhalla combat I retired it for a bit I just came back to it, but it’s fun to use now with Maxsus poise, but you can also use hell blade with Elden ring counter attack

A solid alternative to Valhalla Combat would be Gravitas. It's on Nexus and it pretty solid with what it does.

You have some nice, clean killmoves, such as the beheading and impalement. I can see them! What setup/mods are you using for those? Or are you NOT using some mods like Killmoves and Violens?

I have kind of a simple setup with tdm, true hud, wildcat, and verolevi animations.. stuff like that. Something close to vanilla. The anime/dark souls combat stuff is kinda silly to me. I'm more about the rp/exploration side of Skyrim. The collision stuff looks good though. I'll have to check that out.

Hey! This looks really awesome! However I am getting an error on launch for any of Maxsu's mods saying that it only works for versions earlier than 1.6.629. Have I installed something wrong or are you running an older version? I use 1.6.640

Pretty sure that Maxsu made a statement (at least on one of his Nexus Mods pages) that he wasn't going to be making his newer mods, like the poise mod, for the newer versions of Skyrim. So, no official 1.6.640 and newer versions.

thats skypia for honor animations, they are currently paywalled for 3 USD though, but there is a free version without the glow on nexus , the glow doesnt do anything special it just looks cool

Dude... Can you please make a vid on how to install the mods with mod organizer. Most of these mods are outdated and won't work together because a lot of them have "Required" mods for them to work on nexus that are out of date.

@@MIGHTY_LEG3NDonce you installed mod organiser 2, open it and go to nexus then download whatever mod you want using the mod manager download option. Mod organiser should work as long as it's connected to your nexus account which you can change in settings if it's not

First of all, thanks! This is the first combat overhaul guide that was actually helpful for latest Skyrim AE version. I got it to work (mostly, but that's better than any of my other attempts)! A couple of questions if you have the time to answer when you see this: (1) the MaxsuPoise says it requires DMenu, which definitely doesn't work on my version (1.6.1170) and dTry doesn't seem to have time right now to update his mods as he's already stated. Is this really a hard requirement? (2) Scar isn't compatible with Attack MCO unless you patch it and the instructions for doing so are somewhat vague. Any pre-existing patch out there I could use? Haven't found anything so far. I opted for Dodge MCO (I've used TK dodge before and I may go back, but I wanted to see if there was any benefit to using the mods by same author) and it works well but maybe too far of a dodge distance. Will have to work on tweaking settings. Regardless, thanks again for the easy-to-follow guide and the helpful hints! Subscribed and liked!

yeah dtry doesn't really support newest skyrim, usually doodlum updates for him but hes been very busy as of late, and no maxsu poise doesn't need it, you can configure the mod from the ini file dmenu just makes it easier to configure.

It's probably user error but when I try to swap OAR into my list instead of DAR, lots of things break, so I'm not sure it's really backwards compatible... Nice to see you. Trying to gell with the cheese. LOL

I currently have an infaimous 1.6.1170 version of Skyrim. When an update occured I was in the process of changing my PC so I didn't really have any choice in the matter. Now I am trying to find some mods which I can still use. Many of them, despite being updated for 1.6.1170 still don't work with it. Fatal dll error is like plague for my modlist. I decided to check out the mods you have suggested one by one. Animation Motion Revolution - surprizingly works. OAR - works after being updated. One Click Power Attack - does not work. Payload Interpreter - does not work. Nemesis - works. SKSE - works. Address Library - works. TDM - does not work. Precision and Precision Creatures - don't work. True HUD - works. Dynamic Collision Adjustment - works. Attack - MCO - does not work. Modern Stagger Lock Framework - does not work. Maxsu Poise - does not work because previous mod does not work. SCAR - I did not even check it. Why give my enemies combos when I can't have them? Valhalla Combat - does not work. TK Dodge - does not work. That's it.

we play the same version and I'm able to make most of these work. the only mod I'm trying to figure out is the TK Dodge. not interested in Valhalla, Scar, and the maxupoise.

My man, great video. But you should mention how hard it actually is to get all these mods working together if your not going to guide... Its like selling a Lamborghini to somebody that doesn't know you need a driving licence to drive it. Took me 2 days of research and problem solving. I am not new to modding either

@@marshmallow3131 I wouldn't be able to remember a guide, as I kind of fumbled into a lot of fixes. But you will need to manually downgrade Skyrim back to 1.59 and only install mod versions for 1.59. (You should anyway), most mod lists function better on 1.59. Its disappointing that the author of the video has mentioned nothing, while knowing how challenging moding can be at times.

Hello! if anyone reading this could help me, I'd really appreciate it! So, i'm currently using the latest AE version of skyrim. I installed all these mods needed, but when i attack with my katana for example, i'm still just doing what I believe and assume is vanilla swipe slashes and overhead power attacks. So, the problem for me is, idk how to make it so I have these cool animation and stuff. I think what i have rn is what's considered "skyrim ice skating" as mentioned in the video. If anyone can help me, i'd really appreciate it! Thank you!

Either wait for updates or , downgrade to something like 1.6.64 also if you’re on steam turn off auto updates and make it so skyrim is only read only so it cannot update ever if steam tried to update it automatically. Thats what i did. I really dont care about the latest anniversary updates. If you dont know how to do that look up how to downgrade skyrim and how to make skyrim read only on google. There was a reddit post with the explanation.

I still can’t figure out why my animations stop moving forward after the first to hits. I’m using GDB’s: Elden Beast Edition on Xbox and I have those same animations, I just only step forward for the first 2 attacks. I know we are using 2 different mods that just happen to have similar animations, but I feel like I’m missing something smh lol

have you seen a video where they work perfectly? because adxp relies on skse to do its functions so i assume theirs something inside the animation itself on xbox that does that, man i need to get back to playing skyrim on xbox lol

@@mastercheesey Weirdly I can't seem to find anyone else using it. To be fair I haven't exhausted all options, but I can only find people using the old version that didn't have "Immersive Interactions" attached to it. I made a thread on reddit about it some time ago but only one person responded and they didn't know and hadn't used the mod. Man no you don't, it's hard out here on Xbox😅 lmao. The 5gb limit and lack of access to certain mods be killing me sometimes. I am in the process of trying to create the best looking and functioning Vanilla plus load order on Xbox right now. And those limitations hurt when I watch your videos lol

Yes , if you use precision you have to delete the tkuc folder in it, and just use tk dodge se don’t use tk dodge re

Funny how no one uses Combat Gameplay Overhaul. I only do combat in first person and I find it more easier than in 3rd person. Precision really helps out with getting in hits properly. As always great video. AR

@@cendolbang99 Oh that is interesting. Since it has come out I have never had any issues whatsoever. Then again I dont play 3rd person so it probably doenst work with all the other combat animation mods. And I use it with Archery Gameplay Overhaul as well.

I used to use it, but i saw how AMCO works and i like that so much better. Also CGO does have a ton of incompatibility issues with literally alot of the animation mods and other 3rd person combat mods. If you play first person it’s probably great but i don’t anymore after AMCO. Happy modding!

Yea I dont play 3rd person at all so its all good! Never had any issues since it came out so it has never really left my load order. Been amazing! I generally never play 3rd person because it looks more like a hack and slash game and not immersive for me. With over 700 mods I always am scared of adding anything new hahaha.

Probably not, i think AMCO is a zipped file when you download it and you need to manually install it. Sorry man. If you play console you’re kinda just not gonna get full access to alot of mods for skyrim.

Attack commitment is cool and all but its not good in Skyrim imo. Too many enemies attack u at once and with archers it looks to be hell to deall with. I like moving when i attack so enemies wont flank me.

Yeah that’s why I can’t use dmco it doesn’t let you dodge or cancel during attacks only tk dodge does

@@mastercheesey Strangely enough, i found that with DMCO, if you just toggle the TKdodge/ultimate combat behaviour in nemesis, you get block cancelling, and it doesn't cause any funky weirdness with the game even though i'm not using tkdodge. Best of both worlds, i can block cancel my attacks and then immediately use DMCO dodge.

Why do Valhalla get recommended by content creators? It's a serious question because it is far to buggy and unstable to recommend. Had nothing but problems when I run that mod.

because its skyrim the only time you wont really run into a bug is if you dont use any combat mods besides maybe ones that make it harder lol just gotta get used to it or stick to wildcat and i apologize if that came off wrong

But wait there's fucking moreeee in order for that laundry list of mods to work properly you need to download a laundry list of additional mods for those as well. Where the fuck does it end?

lol modding won't ever be as simple as click one button, youll have to do a bit of set up but the easiest alternative is using wabbajack or a nexus collection, if you have premium it pretty much does everything for you EXCEPT, installing things like script extending and enb, it can't touch your personal files only your mods in mod organizer or vortex
