The Bannered Mare ~
serving as Whiterun's most popular gathering place, functions as a tavern and inn in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that offers mead, food and a warm, welcoming fire. Almost anyone can be found in the tavern after the shops and stalls close. Its sign is that of a horse carrying a banner.

Ahhh my favorite place to relax, drinking and eating at the Bannered Mare with Lydia and Sofia after hours of questing around Whiterun. Then rent a room to rest till morning for more adventures. :)

This is what Bethesda missed. A simple bard but knowing MANY simple tunes to accentuating the true feeling of the times. A simple tune to add to the rain and calm the people of the village.
