I tried making my own modified Nolvus like this one. I ended up just going back to my own modlist after quickly realizing that some areas look absolutely stunning while others hit the uncanny valley really hard. The constant shift between being really impressed and then perturbed by the sudden video-gameyness put me off a lot, sadly. Since we dont have proper parallax and lighting everywhere, some places just look awful since they dont quite get that photo real look at all times. I prefer having a much more consistent "fake" stylized look, at least until the photoreal mod collections can actually cover more of the world. I found that the game's visual appeal depended a LOT on the current weather as well, it ranged from completely stop-in-my-tracks stunning to unbearably dull. One of the other things that irked me a lot was the inconsistency of texture resolutions or stylistic choices. Oftentimes things would be incredibly crisp right next to something visibly less sharp. You'd have these beautifully 3d-looking objects juxtaposed with incredibly flat ones, instantly taking you out of the experience. What does still stand though, is that I think you've got a really good collection of weapon movesets that feel right on the hair's edge of fantasy. It's remarkably smooth how the transitions look going between idle and attacking. I really look forward to seeing how far you and others can keep pushing Skyrim like this, it's just constantly evolving and I love seeing what you do with it.

Your videos are awsome, I wish I could get my game to run as smooth as yours. I downloaded nolvus redux but I'm having an issue where my character sometimes doesn't want to attack. It's like there's a delay before he can attack again.

What mod lets you free rotate during dialogue? I get dizzy with Alternate Conversation Camera Improved's switch option since the space conditions are always different, but I like seeing my character speak with DBVO.

As someone who has spent lots of time modding Skyrim, I find that I have more questions than answers after seeing a video like this: For example, my first reaction to this video was ... so, straight to Racemenu on a new game? Or was the footage cut at that point? What is the status of the Unbound Script? and of course, how is it that some of these modlists can get away without sending carts flying all over the place during the intro? Questions, questions ... 🙂
