Hey thank you for your comment. You can use the see through function to see you reference behind the zbrush window.

How does one optimise the hair for games??? it seems really heavy, alot of strokes. merging this would create some uv issues and internal geometry it seems.

Typically you'd use hair cards for games. Can't tell you much about them personally but I'm sure there's a lot of resources available on the web on how to make/use them

Thank you for this question. Bobby Vionis is right. Normaly you would use hair cards for hair. You can project hair textures on the cards. These hair cards are mostly used for detailed realistic looking hair. However, when you make hair for example an anime mobil game you can use geometrical hair. Mobile games often do not use transparency for performance reasons, which you need for hair cards to work. However, when you want to use geometrical hair you need to simplify things and it requires a lot of polygon modeling.
