I've been a huge superman fan for over 50 yrs. I've seen it all and heard it all and let me just say this is one of the best videos of the man of steel I have ever seen!!! This captures the love, honor and respect that this beloved character deserves and it makes me very proud. I can't thank you enough. THIS IS SUPERMAN!!

I teared up seeing Christorpher Reeve as Superman in this classic film with modern special effects. Warner Bros. should have considered doing this with all of the films in the series for the upcoming 4K release. I can't wait to see Superman II Crystal Edition when it is finished!

Alright, I just wanna preface my criticism here by saying that I do like the overall work and think that most of the cuts and edits you have in mind for this are well done and well executed; especially the splicing of San Andreas with Final Destination, I said before that Final Destination is basically a Superman movie without Superman; and a few of the cuts work with those. My personal favorite edit is the scene from space where Superman witnesses in utter horror the explosion going off and he flies to the explosion, that’s really cool and I alone would just love to see that edited in Superman 1 as well! I also love the work on fixing the green/blue screen on the farmers when they witness Superman and the Rocket fly by; I seen many fan edits that alter the special effects of the first movie and it makes me happy to say you are the ONLY one who even bothered to fix it and fix it correctly! Well done! But I must confess, I feel that it is a bit much; to have that level of destruction and focus in the people in the newer films I feel is where the sequences show the effects and damage and people freaking out in the ensuing damage not only messes with the tone of the scenes but also makes movies less like enhancements to the scenes like you had with the aforementioned nuclear explosion from space or the Superman saving Jimmy Olsen scene where the cracks in the damn start getting dusty and Superman flying through the water; or the fixed blue/green screen on the Farmers fixing the fence while the missile and Superman fly by them. I feel like to make this edit work best would be the more is less approach, where the changes are enhancements, small things that make the movie looks more crisp and clean in a way that feels modernized without trying in essence to modernize the movie itself by splicing footage from another movie for a noticeably significant part of time. This next point is also something you should note and it is a problem I noticed in the Donner Cut too; if Superman travels back in time in this version of the movie [presumably], how are Zod, Ursa and Non freed still? Freeing them before Superman travels back in time always bugged me because it creates an even bigger paradox than what Superman did to achieve the time travel feat in the first place. I think bringing back the France Bomb in the original Superman II is better for that reason, it is more charming and it is one of the few times I outright prefer the original version over the Donner Cut and I figured you should be made aware of that. I don’t expect a response or answer from you as this video is a year old and I only just discovered your project but I do hope you are working it still. With some of the decisions being a little dubious to me, I think you are doing a good effort and I am interested to see a final product if still in the cards.

Amazing job you did on this video! I started reading Superman comic books back in 1957 then the TV series came until the movie came out which made Superman more realistic! I have a collection of books, DVDs, and whatnot. RIP Christopher Reeve who was truly a fitting character for Superman.

This is amazing, I love the almost documentary like feel of just barely keeping up with the action, also very good use of the special effects from the movie San Andreas and Man Of Steel, this really ups the stakes for how devastating the nuclear blast was and how helpless Superman feels as he tries to save as many people as possible, also nice use of the seismic charge sound effect from Attack Of The Clones

Rough but I see where you're going with this. Being near an area where a nuke has hit would be horrific, and dangerous. This gives the destruction more weight, more drama. I'm also amazed you're sticking in some of the STM 3 hour version's scenes.

Goes to show those older movies really had a grand feel to them, they just needed some SFX lovin'.
