Well said, I never understood fans that root for rivals to fail. You should want rival clubs to succeed EXCEPT against your club, it's sweeter that way. For example, I enjoyed when Man Utd ended Arsenal's Invincibles run waaaay more than I ever enjoyed beating them when they were bad in recent years. The sweet spot is for rivals to be good, but juuust not quite as good as your club.
