People outside of Russia wont realise that, but this vehicle registration plate number is freaking cool! EKX means "Drive As I Want".

Yes, but that meaning is vernacular. Actually, plates with EKX was exclusive to Federal Security Service and in the past times when everyone with enough money could illegaly buy it, it was some sort of "gang's prerogative", especially on expensive black cars. Policemans used to ignore cars with such plates. You don't want to stop or chase government's car, right? But it was true only for the 77,99 and 97 regions of Russia. Since region on the presented plate is 05 (Dagestan), it has no real relation with FSS and car with such plate grants no benefits except the reputation of some sort of gang. Also, people from Dagestan are often drives very agressively, in tightly toned cars and follows pretty brash bahaviour model. It is natural in their culture. Also, gelendwagen is concidered car of the criminals there in Russia, if you see GW in Russia, guess there will be 2 strong, black-bearded caucasian men with AK on the rear seats, and you will be right.
