I guess it depends how well of a mechanic you are and how nice the car is you buy. I drove mine daily for like 3 years. Not the best on gas but could be worse. Knock sensors, valve cover gaskets and ignition coils are the most common issues. I would recommend getting a 99 or newer. Just has a few better features.

i've been dailying a y33 for 5 years. 220k on the car and it drives flawless. Watch out for power steering issues. Dont go replacing parts until you flush the fluid. I flushed the fluid and everything started working again. Rack is leaking slightly but for 220k this is the only issue I have with the car.

@@chrischiccino88 yeah I feel that lol. I flushed my ps when it bubbled over once and it was a temp fix. I still needed a pump and rack on mine lol.

@@Andrewz411 I'm just getting into cars honestly. Moving to the US has sparked interest in cars for some reason. Checked on it on Sat, had the service light on. Owner said it's due to knock sensor and the coil pack. He's replacing them and asked me to give him two weeks to get it done. So I guess I'll check in a couple of weeks. What would you pay for one? It has 100k miles on it right now. Apparently him and his wife drove it for 70k miles then their daughter used it throughout med school.. up to the 100k. Has full service history.

@@chrischiccino88 Car I went to look at has 100k but service light was on. The guy reckons it's the knock sensor and coil pack.. He said to give him two weeks to repair it

+Deimos I guess it's I live on a busy street where little weeny boy Hondas run up n down with next to no mufflers. if you're running a 440 cube then thaz one thing but nobody needs to hear a 200 HP motor like it's pretending to be some high performance Street mill. and now here in California, the new law is over 90 decibels and you get an instant 1000 dollar fine! so all the real hotrods are getting hurt by the ricers running their fart cans. I have a 2000 45... and a big block Mopar. so that's all. California laws suck ass
