This 'soundtrack' was laid under much of the montages and the credit sequence of the French film, 'Blue Jeans' ('Prime Tentazioni' in Italy). Sorry it is playing a bit too slow - the resistors in my turntable are no longer functioning correctly. I did manually speed it up digitally but not enough in hindsight!
Released in 1977, the poorly produced film was shot in 1976 with a limited budget, but doesn't appear to have been ever released properly with rips of bad quality Secam VHS tapes in existence.
The film makers stayed in my family's former business - the Dolphin Hotel (now the ruined Dolphin Court) and used my aunt, Jane Weldon and her friend Sarah Vaughan as the featured English girls.

This song, and the film it graces beautifully, is one of the most underrated, and important, cinematic works ever. Like Nielsen's "You Are Not Alone" (1976), which survived attempts against (economic)censure, it's a rare testament & study of what always goes wrong in losing both joy along with innocence. We spend our lives trying to figure out what childhood both meant and its theft, torn from us savagely by parents, a world that deigns ignorance. Nasty cycle. Movies like this inspire some to dream up a solution.
