ABSOLUTELY fabulous!!!! Loved it. Been playing the piano since I was 6 years old, majored in it and still playing today (I’m 65, just don’t tell anyone I’m so old!) What you have created is completely unique and it’s quite catchy. LOVED the bass line. And it definitely was for a spy movie. You better get a copyright on this right now!!

The phrase you play at 5:03 and 5:20 is the same as in Dream Theater's Ministry of Lost Souls. It's a very beautiful little sequence of notes.

This was so cool! When people mentioned slapping the piano, I imagined something like the Piano Guys' "What Makes You Beautiful (5 Piano Guys, 1 piano)". but this was so cool! You composed and then performed an entire song, with percussion, melody, bass- BY YOURSELF! That was epic!!

Definitely enjoying what you made with this. Have you slept a cello? Or other more classical orchestra strings maybe in oboe or viola? I know that you've taken string things to a base but explore the orchestra string section with slapping it would be interesting and then maybe taking the individual exploration and merging them into a slap orchestra

On this is just amaizing. Makes me wonder how often this done without anyone knowing. Listen to and use to be more involved musically. Woukd never guess this was done just on a piano along with software of course.

By the way, Lalo is on the phone with his lawyer discussing the subtle differences between "inspired by", "tribute" and "plagiarism". 😁 Great job! This is a demonstration of what a musician is. Proving that it's not the brand, model or strings of an instrument, but the study, understanding, skill and experience of the musician.

That was pretty incredible Charles. Really neat effects with the different tap, slap, pluck, and hammer techniques. I quite enjoyed it. You should do a whole other tune with some major chords to give it a bright sound somewhere. You have a real nack for creating some incredible sounds. Very inspiring! Nicely done 👍😎

Yes, I can verify that the Beethoven quote is accurate. :-) You are weird, but very creative. Nice performance and editing, too. When you did the piano through guitar amp, my thought was 'yuck', but it all worked GREAT...and yeah, Bond, James Bond, basically. Enjoyed it, I hope it was fun making it. I think I know the answer to that.

Charles I think it’s so cool that you took techniques from experimental music like the Banshee but made it accessible and pleasant to listen to (unlike the banshee). It’s so incredibly creative- I honestly didn’t think these techniques could be used in music in a way that added to the song in a pleasant way!

Pianist Joachim Horsley did a video called "Beethoven in Havana" when he played everything, including the percussion on the one piano. He took the second movement of the 7th concerto and spices it up with some Latin rhythms. I love it! Thanks for this Charles, it's made my day!

I like that at 0:32 we can see that the only messaged he actually gave thumbs up himself was the one about tapping and not slapping! 😅 I also love that he is using the sustain pedal while slapping, which makes sense, since he is not holding any keys himself, but also means he had to press and release! 👏
