Harold Lloyd(1893-1971). A Real Legend of silent movies. Born and raised in Nebraska. Lost two fingers on one of his hands in 1919, while making a movie, involving a very dangerous risky stunt. He wore prosthetic fingers after that, along with a special skin looking glove to cover the cosmetic visual of his unfortunate accident. Didn't let this misfortune stop him though. His best films were throughout the 1920's.

Second posting for foreigners who think all silent comic slapstick was done by Chaplin. THIS WAS HAROLD LLOYD, an American from Burchard Nebraska, USA. Made more films than Chaplin, made almost as much money, lived in a bigger mansion, and was more popular in the USA in the 1920's even if Chaplin had more worldwide fame. For sheer courage and risk doing stunts see that other American genius, Buster Keaton. Charlie Chaplin didn't do risky stunts.

Когда наше летное училище летом переезжали в летние лагеря,то именно там то я и увидел впервые Чарли Чаплина! В огромной палатке нам его показывали каждый вечер после ужина,и мы,пацанята,со смеху валялись на полу!!! Живот уже болел от хохота!
