@Deltarogers Pardon my last comment. After further reading, you are correct, Derrig is a 58 reissue, made to look like a 59.

@Deltarogers The Derrig one is a 59, the Max is 60. Theres a great thread on these two guitas on the My Les Paul Forum homepage.

Ha! I currently have a 1976 Ibanez Les Paul copy, (had since 1980), and an MXR distortion pedal, and just recently picked up a Fender Princeton amp at a swap shop for $25....iiii]; )'

"And a Les Paul copy because that was all I could afford" as he holds a Les Paul copy. Sadly, Gibson USA quality is so horrible nowadays I wish I could find a copy like his. If you buy a Gibson today plan on a full refret unless you want tetanus.

@qwertyarchex he only used a strat back in the old days...when he was in high school....if u look through a copy of his autobiography and look at all the pictures u'll see one of him playin a strat....and a double neck B.C. rich ;) pretty fuckin awesome if u ask me!!!

He uses hand made copies - based on the 1959 Les Paul Standard Model. Not actual Gibson's. Well, until Gibson brought out a signature version, of his Gibson copy............!?

Civil war was recorded on a strat, quite a few songs and song parts in the illusion albums were recorded with a strat, there’s also videos on KZfaq of him using one live

Another one who know's nothing about music, music is subjective as to who is better, it's about who you like but who is better is irrelevant, Dave and Slash play completely different music.

How? a guitar isn't a male. Often inanimate objects are referred to as women. A gay person is somebody who likes dudes, (if you didn't realize that). Slash also has a wife and kids. You really don't play guitar do you, you are a just a troll trying to piss fans off, but it didn't really work now did it? :P
