He definitely is from what my friend told me when she met him, and from someone else i know. They both said he was really cool and nice :) I can't imagine slash being mean to anyone, unless someone was provoking him to get mean.

Yeah it was a pretty stupid thing for the interviewer to ask Slash if he wore the hat and sunglasses so he wouldn't be recognized considering it's the most iconic image in rock history.

I interviewed Slash back in ‘98 for Gitarre & Bass and I have to honestly say he was the coolest dude I ever interviewed. Super friendly. Super down to earth.

I was 16 and worked in a record store when Guns and Roses released their first album. We decided Slash had the hat, hair, and glasses, because he was wanted by the FBI and was so cool, he hid on stage, touring the world. "And he would have got away with it if it wasn't for us meddling kids!"

Less is more! The style of his guitar playing coming from a Blues perspective. Remember in the 80's and 90's all the hair metal shredding going on. Not only the shredding but doing so on modern high tech guitars. Slash chose a Les Paul and a Marshal......when you listen to his solos they are carefully thought out, melodic and emotional. Every note makes a statement and is played with feeling. This really stood out at that time and still does today. I remember doing security in london and we sat down for a briefing. I just sat watching this bloke on stage playing guitar and thought, damn he's good, not knowing it was slash. Then he walked off and came back with the hat and my jaw dropped. Awesome guitarist

This has basically happened to me. At the start of the pandemic I broke my regular glasses, only pair I have left is my prescription sunglasses. So I just got into the habit of wearing them all the time because I couldn’t get an optician appointment for new ones. Everyone has been claiming I’m doing it as part of a ‘cool new look’ but it’s not. I do admit I look cool 24/7 now though. I also have developed supreme night vision.

I can relate to him as far as Getting used to wearing sunglasses all the time. I've been wearing sunglasses since I was 6 years old. I live in Florida and is always fucking bright. I wear them non-stop to a point where I forget I even have them on. It's just so damn bright in this state. Not really complaining, probably better than a gloomy region like the Pacific Northwest.

I always wear sunglasses too for the same reason. Bright lights hurt my eyes, and looking cool is an added bonus minus the looking like a douche part that comes with it :(

Well they don't give it as charity, they give it so the famous person wears it and advertises the product for them so they sell more of it.
