for me Richard Fortus is a better player than Slash but hes always relegated to 2nd place behind Slash

I think his best playing ever that cannot be touched or recreated was him in the 80s live while effed up on heroin. You can hear the accent of the drugged out Slash. Look into it, I'm not promoting drug use, but it is something I havent ever seen before in any other player. You wont hear this ever again. Everyone I show is just surprised

Check out his 2010 album titled 'Slash'. Every track has a different guest artist, in that artist's style, and Slash just nails every style.

Also check out Rocket Queen live in I believe Australia with the Conspirators and Myles Kennedy. Holy SHIT is that some amazing playing right there!

Am a Berklee guy. Slash is absolutely the real deal. His phrasing is at par with anyone.

I actually meant that you can’t compare Slash to Gary Moore. In my opinion Gary Moore is the best blues guitarist that ever walked the planet. Been a massive influence on my playing for the last 40 years.
