Trying to SLASH a tire, is it really that easy?

I've seen videos of people slashing tires and the air pressure blasts the knife back and cuts them pretty good

cuz u dont slash the part thats meant to be damaged. the sidewall isnt meant to resist being stabbed it just holds the pressure in so that the tread can do the work

The trick is to slowly twist your blade into the corner of the tire. Where the side meets the top. Safest way

Actually the best way is to use a large knife, hold it tight with blade pointing down, turn it sideways, and stab fast into the sidewall. You gotta use a good amount of force too. The air does blast out really fast though, which can be startling, especially when its actually connected to a car and weighed down by the car. But yea, im a bit ashamed to say that in my youth, i did slash the tires of a couple people that i had serious problems with. I still believe they deserved it, but i wish i handled it differently.

Don’t do this. Many videos of people getting injured or killed by tires exploding and the like. Tires are actually terrifying.
