@alexeypolevoybass 8 ай бұрын
@@vegripperfan this, and grammar too, to be honest. But that's not the worst part, since the dude also lacks intelligence required to dive into such topics. Saying both “I hate Putin” and “I love Balabanov's movies” is like saying “I hate Hitler for his actions, but Mein Kampf is hell of a masterpiece, this book shows you the best of German culture”. Now that I've explained the problem, I hope Alex gets a second round of canceling for being THAT dumb of an asshole.
@mastersafari5349
@mastersafari5349 8 ай бұрын
@@alexeypolevoybass Your examples logic is flawed here. "Mein Kampf" was Hitler's book whilst Balabanov was just a film director in Putin's Russia. And you definitely can despise Hitler whilst for example admire Leni Riefenstahl as a German director of that era. However even that comparison isn't fair cause Balabanov didn't get involved in actual propaganda film production unlike Riefenstahl.
@alexeypolevoybass
@alexeypolevoybass 8 ай бұрын
@@mastersafari5349 as someone who've spent 30 years in Russia and whose friend knew Balabanov in person, I can only say you know literally nothing on the topic, so you must shut up and listen. Balabanov's ideology is downright nationalistic and even chauvinist. It's not only his movies are like this, but the fucker himself was a Nazi openly bragging about how he hates everyone “unrussian”. Putin admires Balabanov much more than anyone else, and that's FOR‌ A‌ REASON. Balabanov had power only Mikhalkov has as of now, if we speak about film directors living under Putin's personal protection. You have NO idea who Balabanov is, stop lecturing me on topic you never knew in the first place.

As someone who is gay as fuck, and who has been a fan of Alex since he was recording covers in his bedroom before STP - I know that many people are apart of the scene are homophobic or transphobic. Yea, sure it does piss me off but at the end of the day, I'm going to forget that guy saying slurs to me even exists and that there is nothing I can do to change their outlook to be less hateful. Like Alex said, in a starving Russian village, their problems are far more worse and life is a lot more harder and must be laser focused on survival. On another hand, everyone's problems and situations throughout the world are different. Someone always has it better and someone always has it worse. There's just no need to invalidate someone's day to day struggles because someone across the planet has it worse. Cancel culture is definitely not helping, and it's gotten to a point where it's counterintuitive and is doing nothing but making things worse and pining more hate crimes on those who are apart of LGBTQ+ in any aspect. We just need to chill the fuck out and see each other as human beings who are different than each other and learn to just accept that reality.
@Rob_Cary

Associating homophobia and transphobia with the metal scene is just as false as when people associate groomers with the pop punk genre. Promoting equality has been a big part of the metal scene for at least two decades now.

I will say about the "freedom of speech" thing. That term only means that the government won't arrest you for saying something. You can say whatever you want, and another person can say whatever they want in response. "Freedom of speech" is freedom from legal consequences, not the opinions of other individuals, because they also have that same freedom. Your rights end where someone else's begin. Stupid people are incredibly frustrating, but they do in fact have the right to be stupid

I've got tickets to see Slaughter to Prevail in April for the first time since 2018 when they opened for Whitechapel, Chelsea Grin, and Oceano and I had no idea who they even were at that time, but dude... when I say I was F'ing floored and they stole the entire show to include outperforming Whitechapel and Chelsea Grin I mean that shit! I only have 47 days left to hear Baba Yaga, Demolisher, Hell, Viking, Agony, Bratva and I hope like hell "Your Only" in person. I swear I'm gonna blow a grand on merch from the show. Slaughter to Prevail and Paleface are the apex of the evolution of metal as I see it. I pay good money to meet the band just so I can get a photo and have the band sign my favorite guitar. Damn I can't wait for this show. The best part is my sister is a bartender at the club they're playing and I convinced her husband to come to the show with me. He listens to super chill peace and happiness hippy music and he will be baptised in the pit. Same for English. There's no exact equivalent of “cringe” in Russian, for instance. Languages aren't black and white, one can't be “more profound” than another. @@SISSTEMATIK How the hell do I know what you do and don't know? 😂 I was just trying to give you a helpful suggestion. Apparently he started the band, so why wouldn't his style be all over that too? I think I listened to some of their stuff years ago, so I don't remember what style it is anyway or how it compares to the podcaat intro.

@@Pure_KodiakWILD_Power Fare enough, to me just sounds a little diferent. And i always look for music to enjoy. If Its is something from SS. I missed, but I think Its something else. If someone knows and respond. That would be cool knowledge.

The song typically played as intro/outro music on this podcast is Garzas original song. I think it's called "get out" or something close to that.
