The strength to be vegan for decades despite the environment you are in, is amazing. I love hearing this. The power of human resolve is so high. Sending love and encouragement. The lightness of not eating animal products has me so excited, that o can’t help but want to tell people. I love it. It’s not always simple but it feels like such an accomplishment to revisit.

Can you imagine a world where no animal is exploited or harmed or treated as a commodity? One day our future generations will look back in absolute horror when they learn what their ancestors did to the animals, so unnecessarily!

You become actually genetically younger when you live healthy vegan compared to carnist diet, there is studies on this. Its like age is like a genetical candle and then, when we grow older, we stop regenerating and veganism kind of make the candle of age burn slower. There is also many other factors. Like how we sleep, do we experience cold or hunger (make it burn slower) or do we have a healthy emotional life (makes it burn slower as well). It is not sure if there is a way of regenerating fully, but it might be that under certain circumstances e.g. the brain regenerates, like going to the forest or meditation. But e.g. when you eat food that is not dead animals carcasses, it is also a part of it. - so if a person decides to go vegan, the person will be genetically younger when time passes by compared to when time passes by and the person livez carnist.

I would say slapping carrion on my children's plate is my own worst regret. It is sure to stunt the empathy quotient. Empathy is the source of all of our wisdom. I would go so far to speculate our own physiology and dentures indicate a history of such sentiments. And I could surmise that animals are the forbidden fruit in Genesis.

Thank you. Needed this stream. Finally able to reduce my meat eating to only twice a week. { Which is a large leap, for me }Other five days it’s home made vegetarian or vegan dishes and smoothies. My energy has increased, happier, and it is great to see there are more and more restaurants focused exclusively on interesting vegan cuisine. Love how it was explained, it is a gradual process. But light at end of tunnel will be reached; and there is a whole new world, ready to receive you. Blessings.

awesome! thanks so much for sharing! I stopped eating red meat in the early 90's just because I heard some really gross things about worms in them. I developed a predilection and preference for beans and in college in the mid 90's was fortunate to have all kinds of healthier options like black bean burgers, veggie lasagna, bean burritos, etc... near campus. When I watched Gary Yourofsky's best speech in 2011, thanks to my wife, I was like, oh, I'm done with meat eggs and dairy completely now! We were mostly pescatarian by that point. So, it was pretty easy. Hopefully you can do it quick :) Vegetarian is scary, most people are lactose intolerant and don't even know it. But, dairy seems to be hard at first for a lot a lot of people to ditch. You should check out this 5 minute video by the beautiful Erin Janus: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i8l-arZ4rNWnfn0.htmlsi=Pli8G8ah5WfvGoq7 Here's the Gary Yourofsky video that made me realize the reality of what's up, he's a rockstar in the movement, well, was, he no longer does activism because he did SO MUCH!: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m9lmiJNhsbPRc2g.htmlsi=U6-tRySO3tDiHglF The main thing is, going vegan is a philosophy, not a diet, we do this because we don't want to exploit animals which inevitably results in dehumanizing them and abusing them. We don't want to hurt animals, and we don't need to. And realizing this and manning up to it is what makes us vegan. It isn't a "diet" because there's more to it than diet, but diet has the biggest impact. As a vegan you find a way to make it the healthiest way for you, which is easy once you get it down. There's tens, if not hundreds of thousands of edible whole food vegan options within the legumes, greens, grains, fruits, veggies, mushrooms, nuts, seeds, herbs & spices; key is finding the variety that works for your palate/desires/needs. It's called, developing a sophisticated palate. There is a learning curve, just like anything new and great you want to do in life. And if for some reason you have any difficulties there's countless people ready to help. The American College of Lifestyle Medicine is evidenced based nutrition and you can find a nutritionist, dietitian or physician that will help. But, you may not need any help. It may take more effort at first learning how to shop and prepare. I like bulk cooking my legumes and grains so I have several days worth for the whole family. Prep greens and what not as well for the upcoming days. There's some amazing KZfaq channels on whole food plant based cooking too. But, it's really easy at the end of the day once you do it enough and it's fun to learn. Also, it's easy to google "whole food plant based vegan" and qualify it with whatever you have like "black beans, sweet potatoes, kale" or whatever you're wanting to mix up and get ideas for. It's probably good to go gradual for some people so their microbiome may adjust. So, hopefully you can systematically remove and introduce new foods every day and be done and leave that death based diet in the past. My website has some cool resources, I'll be modifying this page dramatically later when I get caught up: VeganLinked.com/GoVegan I like these channels for food tips: Gaz Oakley: kzfaq.info/love/F-ACPYNN0oXD4ihS5mbbmw Cooking for Peanuts: kzfaq.info? The Whole Food Plant Based Cooking Show: www.youtube.com/@wholefoodplantbasedcookingshow Spicy Mustache: www.youtube.com/@SpicyMoustache GuiltFree Tv: kzfaq.info/love/WdjaK6ZvZNt5CCFJZ2nvFg And one of my favorite channels right now for truth is Plant Chompers, Chris is kicking ass over there: kzfaq.info/love/faLzWu44t7TrOMxf5n2dYw Let me know if you have any questions! GENESIS 1:29 IS the WAY to FLOURISH in our health and overall well-being. God does NOT, and will not, disappoint! 😃 In truth, Genesis 1:29-30 are His promises for ALL (humans AND animals) in eternity, on the NEW EARTH, which doesn't seem to be a "distant future" (u noe, like 1000 or a million years) from the present time! Hahaha... 😂

On SUPER PI DAY (3.14.15) HEB also had coupons clipped and xeroxed under each item in the store. My mom always uses coupons so I was laughing thinking this was a store my mom would run! I bought 15 pies for 1.20 each. I really like the Scarlet Ruby Red Grapefruit. I had 16 pounds on 1/27/2015 from the Kroger in the medical area of Houston. They were $0.50 a pound. I gave them to the MD Anderson (I forgot the principle investigator's name running the lab) co-ed intermural soccer team with the warning that it counteracts birth control. Gene is an honorary Nurse!

They are also conscious beings who want to live and who suffer when you hurt them. They feel pain and emotions. There is science on this. But the understanding is much deeper, that they are sentient as you are sentient.
@VeganLinked
@VeganLinked 2 ай бұрын
Unfortunately it's gravely unsustainable to consume any sentient beings especially fish as they are being devastated with overfishing and this is having a catastrophic snowball effect on other ecosystems. Furthermore they bioaccumulate environmental toxins and they're fatty tissue such as dioxins pcbs Mercury and then of course pathogens like bmaa. So alternatively you can consume things like flax, chia seeds, etc to get your ala or take an algae-based supplement. Really though if you eat a proper variety of whole plant foods you may be getting enough effortlessly. But there may be advantages to taking the supplement especially later in life, maybe...

Ended hundreds of lives? Do you mean before he went vegan? Some people regret that they didn't go vegan sooner but at the same time not have that regret because it gives them a way of understanding others who have not realized this yet. Perhaps he has no regrets because he feels like he made the best decision he could as soon as he was able to understand. Maybe he thinks I was just asking if he had any regrets since he went vegan. Perhaps I could have explored that further. But he's done fantastic having been vegan so long in a place where there were so few vegans.
