I saw this tour in Oakland, CA - she did this number. It was incredible. She also had fancy lighting, and while there were no fireworks there was a confetti cannon that when combined with the disco ball on her head was pretty spectacular.

Well, certainly not for her singing. It's Trevor Horns production which made that song a hit. The vocal line consists of just four notes ... and she has still problems hitting them. And ... come on, Grace, dress up, you're 70 years old!

A woman America was not ready for , she was already modeling at age 13 , that unique look of her landed her in Paris where she began to model for high end designer during the 1970’s era , she did not stop there she went further and pursued a career in music , then came her first album “ Portfolio “ in 1977 and she sounded like wowwwwww who is this , every thing about her was different, her look , her accent , the way she dressed , the make up , the hair , an icon was born , I guess I knew because interestingly I was 13 in 1977 living my own teenage years with a certain way where I knew I was ahead of my time ,I was fascinated by fashion , American music & culture , I knew I was different and destined to greater things in life and somehow Grace jones may have impacted my outlook on life , I followed that woman for 45 years as a fan , now 58;and her 74 and I am amazed on how good this woman looks in her almost mid 70’s and how she continues to perform on stage and defying TIME !!! My favorite album remains the first “ Portfolio “ with the songs ( sorry, la vie en rose , that’s the trouble ) second best for me is slave to the rhythm , that performance on stage is worth a million dollars , only can Grace pull that kind of performance and get Wawa’s with it . May Grace live long and to more stunning appearances on stage . LOVE that woman . May O

Amazing!!! Hula hooping , gesturing, singing and all at the same time and doing it at 63 ! I get goosebumps every time I see this video. When this song came out it was Shocking fabulous and it still is. I'm sorry Lady Gaga, but that nah nah song just didn't cut it for me. Listen how strong, and expressive this song is from the beat to the lyrics . Sorry Lady Gaga, but you never rose to Grace's level.

Absolutely true! A mere 25 years ago, it is amazing that she employed this many real musicians, playing real instruments, not pre-recorded electronic, digital shit. Probably the end of an era when live performers could actually make a living at this, besides the Big Five orchestras and the Met---and now that they are no longer being paid as of yesterday, who knows what lies ahead?

Maybe Grace Jones then just should focus on the singing, as that is hard enough for her. Come on, she's not a good singer and that songs melody is jut four notes! It's Trevor Horn's production, which made that song a classic, not Grace Jones vocal performance.

I was so close to her I could touch her feet. Can you imagine looking up into her tall stature? I was mesmerized and done.

Incredible feat. That hula-hoop "never stops the action!" Miss Jones manages to "keep it up" throughout her entire --live-- performance. All well-deserved references to her iconic and/or legendary status aside, I just wonder how many ladies her age could pull something similar. Incredible.

I saw her live 20 years ago at the biggest New Year's Eve RAVE Party in Hong Kong for the Y2K(1999-2000), I didn't even know she was going to be there. I went into this Grand Hall coz there were music and dancing inside, I couldn't believe I was staring at Grace Jones on top of a platform in the middle of the hall singing Pull Up To The Bumper, I was just like 8 feet away from her. She was stunning, she is bigger than life and u will know what I mean if you had seen her in concert.
