I have seen Slayer live on almost every tour since 1985 including their 9th to the last show ever. I have been to 100's of concerts but there's nothing like a Slayer concert and Slayer fans. My favorite Slayer concert was in 1988 at First Avenue in Minneapolis with Overkill and Motorhead.

So intense that when it ends, you release your breath, not realising that you were holding it. That's Slayer.

They go on stage to work hard for their fans. No gimmicks, just plain metal, straight to your brain. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

I was privileged to be at their last ever Florida concert. 6th time live and they are in my top 3 of live shows. Check out World Painted Blood by them, never seen anyone react to that song

This song is about Josef Mengelea WW2 Nazi Officer Dr. That was known as the Angel of Death for his horrific experiments on the Jewish people

Funny you mentioned therapy at the start of the song. I've read studies that suggest Metal fans are more emotionally stable than other music genres fans BECAUSE of the brutal catharsis of expressing our darker emotions through headbanging. Not a wide study, but I can see the validity as a long time metal fan.

Slayer is just a underrated Death Metal band just so as all the other Genres competing with it: Alternative/Thrash/Heavy/Black Metal also. And they are all dark and backwards something people wouldn’t understand unless for those that’s deep into Metal itself such as me who’s a crazy fan of all Metal genres lol 🖤🤣

Good call on the smell...I have been in many Slayer mosh pits...and many of the MFers in those pits bring their own odor. Crammed up against the stage and everyone around you unfortunately you get a full assault of all of the BO. But...their concerts are still the BEST and definitely therapeutic.

Welcome, to they (Slayer) referred to themselves as: Extreme Metal They write songs that should not exist. Songs, that should not, “work.”
