I appreciate your perspective at the beginning. I've been told I'm "playing the game wrong" for doing tasks that are bad xp and skipping some tasks that are cannonable, but I know if I only do the most optimal tasks and skip everything else I'll burn out and quit the game for awhile. I wish the community could get back to realizing that RS is a game, it shouldn't have to be your second job.

Great guide! I'm the kind of player who needs gp, but also values the high xp tasks, so giving the pros and cons of each task is a lot more helpful than most people who just say block xyz for xp and abc for money.

something i would like to add for elves, if you have SOTE the elves in the slayer cave can drop the teleport cystal upgrade as well as crystal shards for divine potions, and are cannonable, so if you need one of the upgrade/shards as an iron, and don't feel like pickpocketing or doing dauntlet, they are an afkable option.

I've seen mithril dragons used as a points task in a slayer sheet. Haven't unlocked them but with good stats and gear they might be worth it, you only need to kill 7.5 with an expeditious bracelet. Same with steel dragons Points translate to exp since they allow for more aggresive skipping and 8 dragons is barely anything

Definitely the best block/skip list out there. I'm changing 4 out of my 6 blocks because of it thanks to your advice. Also didn't realise that vampyres would be such a benefit for me to have unlocked so that's pretty great too.

For mithril dragons the 'my journal' pages are dropped by them so there's a use for completionism.

If only we had something like this for irons. So much of the meta is different, you can't cannon nearly the same amount of stuff, or if you do, you've wasted more time making cannon balls than what they'll save you in hours on slayer.

You mentioned that Skotizo counts as a black demon for those tasks, but he counts as a greater demon too, which is relevant for players who unblock one but block the other.

Also Kraken is highly underestimated. The afk-ness of it makes it a really chill task, though I would not recommend extending it after you already have the trident. But the safnews and other supply drops on ironmen are super valuable.

aberrant specters i would do since you can cannon in tree gnome stronghold and with range & blowpipe I powered through them no problem, and profit margin was at least enough to cover the costs, probably did more but it definitely wasn't that bad, i don't think it's worth skipping them.

You forgot to mention you can skip a jad task for free! There's no need to lock it! You literally just go in the cave and instantly leave and it cancels the task

I am kinda sad that I got really spooned on bosses so it causes me to lose grinding for gp. Kraken pet: 60kc Zulrah: Everything else in the log is green except for mutagens (pet included) Vorkaht: Pet 220kc, visage in 30kc. Abyssal sire: Blugeon and dagger completed 210kc.

Lizardman are pretty decent xp if you canon regular ones

If you have a Tbow, brutal blue dragons are definitely worth doing as a task. I also don't get the hate on Mithril Dragons, but the love for Dark Beasts? Both are point tasks if you don't extend them. I guess if you don't have a Dragon Hunter Lance/Crossbow they can be slower, but if you have one of those weapons they're definitely a good point task, and Mithril Dragons have a (albeit very rare) chance at a (currently) 55.8m drop.

If you're not planning on killing Jad, you should leave it unlocked anyway as it's a free skip if you do get tzhaar tasks (just enter and leave the cave).

If you get assigned a Jad task and don't feel like doing it, you can accept the task and walk in and out of the fight caves to skip it for free

People should realise slayer is person dependent too. I opt to do gargoyles, fire giants, greater demons on my lvl 94 slayer main. Main reason is I can prot melee and afk. Any slayer is better than none, some tasks i couldnt be bothered doing at times.

Cannoning the regular lizardmen you can break even because of there seed drops. They are a high weight cannon task. I would unlock them

I find that rune dragons are doable with the abyssal dagger

Blocking tzhaar is really dumb, you can enter and exit the jad task and instantly fail it, allowing you to get a new task.

When talking about nechryael you said it's the only task when bursting that you make your money back but I get slightly less money from dust devils compared to nechryael

I read somewhere that mithril dragons are actually worth locking for efficient slayer (as a quick points task if you’re struggling to keep your points up) if you have high stats and a lance. Not sure if this is true

I actually think hellhounds can be decent xp if you do a really sweaty method. In the stronghold slayer dungeon, there’s a safe spot between the two hellhound rooms. You can drop a cannon in the southern room and at the same time use blowpipe you lure and safe spot multiple ones from the northern room. Usually an extended task for me takes 20-25 minutes, and doesn’t need any food/protection prayers

Man there is some good info here but lizardman shaman are not 3m/h LOL. You would have to kill like 200 an hour and consider no supply costs to get that number. Average chump will get 1.5m/h if they get dwh on drop rate

2:55 I think Hellhounds are good exp because I safespot ranged one side and cannon the other side in the gnome stronghold. It's not as good as barrage tasks, but better xp than your average task.

Spiritual creatures are not a bad task I got 3 boots in a task of 189 and 2 hard clues worth about 150k. Red dragons are also great at brutals or babies to do quickly.

i dont understand why would someone say "x monster with cannon is 80k xp/hr" when you finish that task in less than 20 minutes, after those 20 minutes you will get another task that does not have the same xp rates as the last one, i wish everybody says something like "x task gives around 30k xp per hour", thats something more reallistic, xp/hr and gp/hr in slayer should not be taken by hourly rates, instead, should be per task rate, at the end of the day is a game and you dont take a game like "i play 10 hours per day so in those 10 hours i should do x amount of xp and x amount of gp" everything is relative and even more in slayer, you play as much as you want/can, i have seen people critisism me because i always do my demonic gorilla's task because "xp is terrible", what they dont pay attention is to the gp ou could pottentialy make there + the whole task gives you around 100k xp
