One of the best and most highly underrrated shows of the 80's.

High comedy like this is very difficult to do. But this series hits all the right notes and more. I had the pleasure of playing Elvis #1 as an actor, at the top of the episode and it was a joy to do. The entire cast was so inventive and resourseful. Anne- Marie Martin was especially clever. A very gifted lady.

Modern day Hollywood could take a lesson from them..

Gotta admit, the chalk mark being in the "Jailhouse Rock" pose made me spit my drink out.

Great show! V extraterrestrial invasion and Sledge hammer were the most underrated shows in the '80s.

When this show aired, it was on against DALLAS and MIAMI VICE, so the line he says @16:27 was referencing that.

I know they were super silly but they always made me laugh and still do and not a lot can do that these days:)

David Rasche wrote the songs for this episode because they couldn’t use Elvis songs. This also started the Elvis murder episodes on other shows

Wait other murder mystery shows also had Elvis themed murders?

this proves again that 80's was superior in every way. I haven't come across anyone that says 21st century is preferrable to 80's. As a matter of fact the more I check, the more I am delighted to see people all over the place having exactly same view as me, as is that it's terrible that the culture, style, character and mentality of 80's is gone and what we have now is complete horse raddish! 80's all the way

This is my favorite Sledge Hammer! episode!! The autopsy room eating is epic! Sledge tells Trunk he will have more leads after more Elvis are killed... I obviously love all Hammer! episodes... 1st season is better than 2nd season... the 3 best 2nd season episodes are the 1st one where Sledge got caught on the windshield wiper, Sledge is selling used cars, and the Davy Jones episode... have you thought about writing lyrics LOL...

The show was goofy but it satirizied so many cop shows and movies. Not too many shows hold up as well.

So this episode was directed by Jackie Cooper, who famously played Perry White in the Superman films?
@ThaMizphit742 жыл бұрын
Yep. Sure was. And Bill Bixby directed 8 episodes from season 2.

Maybe it’s my mindset now but this wasn’t nearly as hilarious as when I was a kid.

It's like wrestling for me....I used to love wrestling in the 80ies as a kid...what they are showing now is just not as good as the old characters.
