Love this song. Atlantic is the one that gut punched me on this album. Could relate to some of the imagery. High Water also hits hard.

Telomeres are basically random nucleic acids that protect our actual genetic material from getting harmed in the replication process (all the splicing and enzyme activity). Basically caps off the DNA. They degrade over time, they aren’t infinite in length and the enzyme that makes repairs (telomerase) decreases in activity as we age. Eventually, our DNA can’t be copied correctly after telomeres wear out. In cancer cells, there’s increased telomerase activity which lengthens telomeres, making the cancer cells spread quickly and hard to kill. Sorry, med student here lol. Hope that helps!

great reaction as always. I think the clicking sound seems to occur whenever the camera wobbles a bit, so I reckon that its likely when your desk shakes something is tapping your mic.

Good song, Right next to the best song on that album (IMO). High Water absolutely destroys me. And yes, Telomeres are the caps that protect the helix in DNA.
