Intended as a generic sleeping ambience, this video includes rain, distant thunder, city white-noise, soft hum of an air conditioner unit, some movement sounds of you and your Character getting comfortable and then some soft snoring. That’s really odd that it keeps disappearing! The only thing I can think of is that maybe you’re linking to something outside of YT in your post? I’ve seen comments with URLS outside of YT be automatically taken down before, but I can’t think of any other reason why your comment would just keep disappearing! Sorry you’re having this issue!

I don’t have a comfort character but I just imagine a group of my OCs just sleeping together on the same bed. Just piled together, relaxed and content. Idk, it’s weird but that’s my comfort low key.

Being a widow is a frightening thought for me.. I really don't want it to ever become real, but the sad thing is, it has a 50/50 chance of happening.. I don't even know anymore. I just don't get the point of having to die someday. People always say you get less afraid as you age but, I don't think that's very true isn't it... It always hurts to read comments like yours because its just like... What's the point of things like that being a real thing that happens? It doesn't teach you a thing.. Well, on retrospect, it teaches you that loving someone means you will have to lose them one way or another.. But life would be meaningless without love.

i recently lost my dog to cancer, he was my everything. I had a majority of my life with him. He was like a child to me. I would fall asleep to his snores and warm breath. I never realized how much i needed his stinky breath and loud snores until i lost him. Even though this isn’t the intended use for this video, the snores slightly resemble my babies snores, and it’s comforting. thank you.

Robot comfort characters are underrated. Imagine you sleeping next to them, your head laid on their padded chest, hearing the muffled sound of their fans whirring inside them. Their body is warm from electricity, and some being much bigger than you, they're ever so careful with you, cautious not to tangle your hair in with the hinges on their fingers as they comb through it and brush the hair from your sleeping face, running their thumb along your cheek before resigning themselves to sleep. (This may or may not be directed towards a certain daycare/naptime attendant... I've got *slightly* weird taste in comfort characters.)

Seeing other people talk about their own comfort characters is fun and feels like we’re all connected in a unique if small way. So here’s mine. My current comfort character (if I’m understanding the concept correctly) is Glamrock Freddy from FNAF: Security Breach. He has such a gentle yet strong personality. Because of childhood trauma shenanigans, I always feel disconnected and alone. Freddy has one of the warmest dispositions I’ve seen, and he radiates a beautiful sort of fatherly reassurance. I absolutely adore a deep, husky voice, and his voice puts me right at ease.

I can see why Glamrock Freddy can be a comfort character to someone. He protected Gregory from harm in every way that he could (one of the endings for the game had him making the ultimate sacrifice to protect the kid).

Oh no I feel weird. Everyone has normal characters, and here I sit. Feeling warm under a comforter, pressed right to a large body as he protectively keeps an arm around me, like someone might steal me away in the middle of the night. The rhythmic breathing and gentle snores escaping his mask as it's cool material buries into the pillow next to mine. While the world fears his name, he lays here protecting me. Jason Voorhees.

Ah yes, nothing like snuggling with sun/moon from fnaf, idc that they are animatronics, idc that they are made of metal, my headcanon is that they have a soft silicone casing and a heating system so it makes them super snuggly, and moons personality is so comforting for sleep while suns is just so sweet and energetic and caring, i love those two boys so much

i think i’m the only one here who’s comfort character is deadpool, but i hold him so near and dear to my heart, i have for years. he’s more complex than a lot of people think and he has so many different layers and it’s so cool. idk, he’s a big comfort for me for a lot of different reasons, so this is wonderful 💗

This is really really weird but my comfort character is the sun/moon animatronic from FNAF: Security Breach, in a platonic way, obviously. I imagine myself as a little kid again and I imagine him taking care of me and hanging out with me. Idk why he's such a comfort for me honestly, I just like his vibes. My comfort character is Silco from Arcane. I relate to Powder/Jinx a lot, and my Dad wasn't there for me when I was growing up, so the fatherly love Silco had for Jinx meant a lot to me. I know Silco wasn't the best Dad, but he was a heck of a lot better than mine.

Okay, I'll be honest, instead of picturing a comfort character, I've been picturing my partner :) We've always been long distance so sleep times rarely match up. That's so cute and creative ;; I don't really have OC:s but there has been this girl in my dreams many times who has been really sweet (and frankly annoying LMAO). My dreams are usually lucid nightmares, or more like dark dreams because they happen so often that they don't scare me anymore, so it was odd to have this sweet caring character pop up in them. I had a traumatic childhood so the nice, interesting detail is that everytime she is around I'm also a child. We're both around 8. A really talkative, energetic, positive and caring character who always makes sure I'm doing alright even though she doesn't have it easy herself, being parentless and all...yet my dream self just keeps being mildly annoyed by her and even straight up rude. I remember how once there had been a flood and we were collecting trash and at some point we started hanging from a pole on the playground above the water. She was happily babbling and came really close to my face smiling really wide, mud on her face and hair tangled...and I just _kicked_ her so hard that he dropped into the water. Like bish wtf, this poor child :"""D She awkwardly laughs it off every time and keeps being the happy go lucky girl she is. It's weird how attached you can get to dream characters. She isn't the only one. I sometimes wake up sad when I realize that the people I met in my dreams aren't real, especially because they feel so real and detailed. Sometimes it's a good thing though. Not everyone is nice.

I have misophonia, which means that certain noises (like breathing/snoring sounds) trigger a fight-or-flight response and make me very uncomfortable. I'm using this video to imagine my comfort character while also trying to get over my sensitivity. Thanks for uploading!

In the past snoring definitely triggered my own misophonia a bit(not as bad as other sounds), but being able to reframe snoring as an emotional comfort of sleeping next to someone helps. Sometimes my brain reacts different to triggers depending on if a stranger makes them or if someone I like makes them. I was shocked to find out one day that my fav youtuber whistling didnt trigger a bad reaction, when normally it's one of my worst ones

I have various comfort characters. Here's some snuggle styles with all of em. Elliott (Stardew Valley): big himbo-style hugger. Definitely a spooner, big spoon who can curl up around me because I'm schmol. Snores. Kinda loud. Cyno (genshin impact): just sharing a bed, silent and still but would wake up in an instant if he thought something was wrong. Sleeps only on his side for some reason. Scaramouche (genshin impact): would either kick me off the bed entirely or be extremely clingy and insist on being little spoon and there's no in-betweens. Moves a lot in his sleep. N (Pokémon): big spoon, but also a nuzzler. Very still sleeper too. He would run his fingers through my hair in his sleep. Sycamore (Pokémon): would have to convince him to go to bed. Takes up a lot of the mattress but sleeping on his chest is comfy enough- he's a sprawler. Kazuha (genshin impact): would be very happy to snuggle and stay awake til i fall asleep, humming lullabies. Sweet boy, deserves the world.

Haven’t seen Castiel on here. He doesn’t quite sleep, but I imagine him listening to Lizzo on headphones (softly so the sound doesn’t leak and wake you up. You don’t mind, really. You like knowing he’s there especially when he’s so quiet all the time.) While he scrolls through Wikipedia pages about the invention of the typewriter. Even though you don’t see it, you can almost feel him glancing at you every so often. You think he’s worried about you, or impatient. Part of you wants to tell him you’re awake enough to see him, but the other part of you likes the quiet as much as you know he loves hearing you talk. A couple days later you look into his search history, and he’s got pages open about “Average Human Sleeping Habits” and then “How Long Do Humans Sleep” and then “Slow Breathing In Sleep”. Ignoring that he’s capitalized every word for no reason, you realize he worries about you sometimes. Cas doesn’t know how this whole sleeping thing works. Cas doesn’t know how Google works either, because the next thing in the search history was “Thank you, Google”. Cas is nothing if not polite. Every now and again he uses his waking time to cook you breakfast or do the laundry. He’s partially doing this to learn how, but also because he cares about you. You hate that he’s away in your sleep, but you can’t fault him for getting bored while you’re asleep. Really, how riveting can page 15 of the invention of the typewriter really be? But between sleeping and waking, you just wish he would come back and sit there again. By your side. And sometime you wish hard enough you slide into a prayer. And suddenly he’s there. He’s always listening.

My comfort character is a character I made by myself, and created story-wise and design-wise. Their name is Bennet and they’re about 5’0, with blonde hair kept up in a bun, a bit chubby, and usually wearing a signature cyan/turquoise sweater. They have a pet hamster named Chamomile, and they’re very soft, and anxious, but kind. I used to draw them when I was stressed, or sad.

When I think of comfort characters I end up thinking of one of my OCs. He’s less of an Oc and more of an embodiment of my insecurities and flaws. I would always talk bad about this character because of how disappointed I was in myself. But I grew to love him. People are hurt, I am hurt, and that’s okay. As cringey as it may be.. I ended up wanting to love this character and hold him and never let go. No matter who you find comforting, what you may be going through, or the amount of self confidence that you have.. you’ll grow and develop and overcome whatever needs to be done. Get a good night’s rest and stay safe out there.

Hey it may seem kinda odd but honestly giving something like that a physical form in some way makes it easier to deal with, makes it more tangible as opposed to untouchable. You could say I have a few comfort characters; but the first character I thought about is Sonic. I know, it's cringey to think that to some folks. But the softness in breathing, the thought that he'd cuddle me the way he'd comfort Tails if he was afraid or upset (I myself am afraid of thunder) and just his overall unique self just brings me a sense of relieving comfort in hopeful efforts to be less lonely. My comfort character is Crowley from Good Omens. As soon as I watched it, I felt an immediate bond to him. We’re very similar, personality wise, and he’s just so soft I love him. Aziraphale is also one of my comfort characters so when I’ve had a particularly bad day/week I imagine they’re my dads and I love it because you already know they’d be so sweet and kind and accept my queerness. I just love them.

I'm literally just imagining a dog pile with all of my favourites, and it's an absolute joy. The tiny snores, the shifting of the bed when they move about, the sounds of rain and other natural phenomena. It's so hilarious imagining everyone I love just making this giant cuddle pile and we're all just snoozing together. I love it. 😂😂💖💖

This might be weird but my favorite comfort character is Rick from Rick and Morty 🥲. He just a goofy guy who has way too much trauma and needs a hug. I just picture I’m laying next to him making sure he stays asleep after a day of talking care of him. I know he’s old but he’s so likable and deserves the best. I just want to give him a hug ❤️

Man I love the comfort character community so much. Just a bunch of people bonding over characters they connect to and hold dear to their heart. There is no shame in enjoying something so harmless and helpful. I think it is a beautiful thing. Personally my comfort characters helped keep me alive during some of the hardest years of my life. Even though things are getting better now, they still help me every day, and I am so thankful to have them. I have many comfort characters, but my most special one is Sheldon Lee from My Life as a Teenage Robot. I grew up watching the show and had a soft spot for Sheldon since I was 7 years old. He's been a source of comfort and childhood nostalgia all my life. In my head I like to think of a story where he eventually gives up on Jenny because it's causing nothing but pain for him. He feels lost without someone to love, and I notice this, and choose to comfort him in his time of need. We end up as each other's emotional crutches, and steadily lift each other out of depression.

I spent my childhood having imaginary/fictional big brothers/uncles/father figures/guardians to comfort me and give me reassurance. I'd daydream deeply and long about being cared about, being loved, being cherished. I hoped so badly one day someone strong and safe would arrive one day and take me far away. I spent my adolescence doing the same, but lookng forward to relationships to help fill the void. None happened. I became homeless and isolated from everyone for a decade. My brain shrank. Now I'm 31, not homeless anymore, still have never held anyone's hand or been looked at lovingly. I don't remember the last time i felt safe in someone's arms. Listening to this it's causing me so much pain because i don't know who to imagine anymore. I can't think of anyone to care about me, even imaginary. It's just me, and a breathing sound i can't put a face/body to. At least the ambiance balance is really nice.

The gentleman from Phantom Blood who would ease your worries and take a moment to help you relax and destress from the troubles plaguing you and your mind. Reassuring and optimistic, he is the type of character to help you through thick and thin, showing his support and admiration for you every step of the way. The rain beat against the chrome plating of the Razor Crest. The drops cascaded off the cockpit windows, obscuring the view outside to naught but a few murky shapes and colors. As thunder crashes through the skies, I sit in the copilot's seat; wrapped in a soft, warm blanket, my legs propped up on the control panel of the ship. Next to me in the pilot seat sits Din Djarin, the Mandalorian. He's still wearing his helmet, but the remainder of his beskar armor is off so that he can rest comfortably. I can hear him breathing quietly through the modulator of his helmet, and watch his chest rises and falls softly. It's a rare moment of peace for the both of us, and I intend to savor it. As the exhaustion begins to overtake my consciousness, a faint smile crosses my face.

Might be the most lonely thing I’ve ever done, but sleeping with Parappa would be very nice. He’d probably feel either very soft, with surprisingly fluffy fur that warms you for the rest or the night, or like paper. Hearing his breathing would do nothing but soothe my own ears, and I’d wonder what he would be dreaming about through the night. Maybe he would even say a couple of things. Since he’s so energetic you don’t get to see his eyes closed very often, but once you do, it’s magical; I probably wouldn’t be able to keep my eyes out of his cute sleeping face, and you probably wouldn’t either. If he’s close to you, he might try to hug you while on his attempts to get to sleep with you, but he’d ask you if you’re fine with it first, and if you said no he probably won’t try to do so. And finally, once it the sun rises, he’d wake up in a mood as bright as the sun, smiling as he sees a new day full of opportunities to come for him, you and everyone he cares about. His happiness would be so contagious that you can’t help but focus you mind on him and his own outlook in life even if you were the grumpiest and most cynical of people.

My comfort character changes all the time but right now it’s probably a toss up between Julian Devorak from the Arcana or Cove Holden from Our Life. I’ve been hooked on the arcana for a few years and only just recently played Our Life so I sense an obsession shift in the winds, but that’s okay. The comfort characters are always there and they will always be appreciated for the peace they bring, no matter how long they stick around. :)

To be honest it really hurts knowing that the person that just the plain thought of makes you feel safe and comforted isn’t real.
