In the fifth episode of Sleepwell Foundation Presents Zindagi with Richa Season 6… Meet Singer, Composer and KZfaqr Farmani Naaz, a village woman from Ratanpuri, Muzaffarnagar, who took to singing as it was the only way to get support for her ill son. Such was her talent that in no time, she became a sensation with OVER 4 million subscribers on her KZfaq channel.
Farmani became popular after appearing on the twelfth season of the music reality show 'Indian Idol'. While she did not win the show, her distinct voice caught the attention of fans.
Deserted and cast away by her husband, her life of poverty and woes came to an end when she found her voice that could garner her economic freedom and a life of dignity.
She is an inspiration for millions of voices of the disadvantaged and deprived, especially from rural India, who can build their lives on their talents and find prosperity and emotional wellness as well.
