Waittttt because this is my exact issue! I’m having problems with the signal and I thought it was because I live in an old house. Was actually planning to upgrade to the 15! Might get a Samsung but I will miss iMessages and the emojis. I prefer Apple emojis more than Samsungs 😣

I got an s22 ultra last year. I really wish I got the z flip 5 as it's compact and I would think it's not as heavy as the s22 ultra. I don't even use my s pen anymore.

@ronetired in my opinion, cons are: The flexible screen, you have to be mindful, but you don't have to baby it. No telephoto lens. No s-pin capability. The battery is smaller and has no dex support. Pros are: attention grabber, the cover screen is very useful, super customizable, the new gapless henge looks so much better. You have a hands-free selfie, and you can use the front camera while using the cover screen as the viewfinder. And it's hella cute. A solution for the battery is that there's a magsafe compatible case that you can use a battery pack with.

@yellowferret the first few days the battery lost its juice quickly. but i'd say around day 3 or 4 the battery started to last longer. apparently that's a android thing, it starts to save battery based on how you use your phone. for me, it has last me as normally as my iphone 14 did, which was all day. i normally use my phone for spotify, YT and twitter.

Yeah, I would only switch from S23 Ultra if you don't mind losing significant battery! I have S23 Ultra and it is a beast, we can customise it the same way - the only thing it doesn't do is fold x

@@polisherci I loved it at first but I started having battery issues so I went back to iPhone. I would wake up with a full charge and do my morning social media check, texts and emails and I’d lose a good 20% working the hour.

@mxlo8713 hey there! Yes, it is a big change. BUT, I'm enjoying it! The home button takes some getting used to though. But I like how apps feel and operate. And I love typing in the RCS chat with other Android user friends of mine and being able to use my PC for texting similar to how Apple users can iMessage from Apple products. I think this is worth it and such a change that it's exciting and a new experience which is what I was looking for. I would encourage you, but only you know what's best for you I'd listen to people with the phone you want and they'll usually be honest with you. But some could also want to gatekeep it (which is dumb), but it happens. Good luck!

But unfortunately it is very expensive here in my country and I'm not so sure if I should get it or another more "upgraded" phone like a S23. Hey @@spiralthing, that's totally reasonable. I feel like the Flip 5 was a great introduction back into the Samsung ecosystem from the Apple one. The flip gimmick keeps me interested while letting me get used to Samsung/Android functionality. I am for sure sticking with Samsung going into 2024. I'm just questioning if I'll stick with the Flip variant (Flip 6 if this model continues), or another flagship like the S-whatever or Fold 6 (if that also continues). As of now, having owned the Flip 5 for about 3 months, I am going to stay Samsung because my initial investment of buying the phone is going to continue because of Samsung's trade-in values. My Flip 5 will be mint condition by August 2024 for the next phone release, and it will almost surely pay for my next Samsung entirely. I would encourage you to get the Flip 5 as a way to introduce yourself to Samsung, BUT I would advise you to please do what is best for you financially! I hope this helped you and anyone else who has read it! :3

yeah for some reason no headphone jack is like the *new thing* . just like having no charger in the box. like how are you making new phones but not including audio jacks? if people don't want to waste money for new headphones, guess what? they're not going to *buy a new phone*. just include the audio jack. the new iPhones don't have audio jacks either, so disappointing.
