Loved Needles District! Seemed so much less busy than Island in the Sky and had so much to offer. Thanks for sharing this trail along with us! Absolutely beautiful. Potholes were all empty when we were there, maybe more water around November? Have a good one!!! - Shane
@WithinHikingDistance
@WithinHikingDistance 3 жыл бұрын
Completely agree Shane! The needles is my favorite part of Canyonlands. Its remoteness makes it less crowded. The pools are dry in the Summer and early Fall as the water comes from the rain. It is important not to step on them when they are dry (not saying you did that :)) as the tiny organism is there year-round and is dormant when they are dry. Thanks so much Shane!

It's always funny when little man tries to hide from the camera🤣🤣. I am sure he doesn't do that anymore lol. It's so coincidental that you guys posted this video because I've been doing a lot of research on Canyonlands lately. They have been having unseasonally warm weather this time of year. I almost took a trip out there but decided to wait. I like the cool little pool on top of the rocks. Looks like a fun hike and It's awesome nobody else was on the trail that day. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us.

We can't make him stop talking on the videos now 🤣 The ephemeral pools are really fun, the organism swimming in there are so tiny! How cool you are looking into visiting Canyonlands. The Needles are a total hikers' paradise. We did this trail twice and hardly saw anyone. It is more remote than Island in the Sky so less traffic too. We would have a ball there. Thank you so much Eric, it is always a pleasure to read you.

Bonne semaine 🤗🤗

Nice trail. Cool weather, no one else on the trail, clear blue sky's. Its hard to get any better then that. Some pretty nice views along the way. I really like the island in the sky view.
