To replace a car's sliding door handle, follow these steps:
Tool preparation: Prepare the appropriate tools such as a spanner, screwdriver or tool kit to remove the inside of the door.
Removing the inside of the door: In some cases, it may be necessary to remove the inside panel of the door to access the door handle. Check for visible screws, latches or clips that secure the panel. Use appropriate disassembly tools to remove the screws or gently disengage the latches and clips. Note that some panels may be screwed or clipped in at various places, so search the panel carefully to ensure you have not missed any fasteners.
Revealing the Handle: After removing the inner panel of the door, you should be able to access the handle mechanism. Locate the latch of the handle and check how it is attached.
Disconnecting the handle cable: In most cases, the handle is connected to the door mechanism by a cable. Find the connection point of the cable with the handle and try to unhook it. Occasionally, it may be necessary to slightly bend or move the hook to unlock the lanyard.
Removing the old handle: With the cable disconnected, concentrate on attaching the handle itself. Locate the screws that hold the door handle in place and use the appropriate tool to remove them. Installing the new handle: Secure the new handle in place using the same screws or clips that were used on the old handle.
