Always keep the bottom track clean and clear of dust.
Do not use oil or WD40 on the bottom track as this attracts the dust and grit.
Instead use a decent quality furniture Polish preferably the anti-static type, spraying on the track and under the sliding door to lubricate the rollers. The rollers are normally made of nylon and can wear out over the years if not kept clean and lubricated.
