In this Gear review we are going head to head with carbon fiber tripods Slik vs Sirui!
We have the Sirui T1205X and the Slik 634CF
topping the tripods we have the manfrotto MVH 502 vs the MVH500
WINNER--- SIRUI T-1205X & MANFROTTO MVH-502
Jeff purchased the slik in early 2017, over the years the tripod has begun to fail. The locking system has completely given out, but the structure itself remains stout. The legs and joints of the tripod are still functioning fine. The leg locking system is the weak point and is failing and because of this the Sirui tripod wins the shootout.
Patrick purchased the Sirui tripod in early 2018 and over the course of the season it performed flawlessly. We highly recommend this tripod.

@@PNWild definitely not! It has the Sirui VA-5 fluid head on it. Little brother to your heads. I am in the same boat as Patrick and am going to cut the handle down.

Thanks for the review i just ordered the MVH502 head. Still debating on what tripod. Leaning on the Sirui T1205X. Does the Sirui T1205X stay pretty steady with your spotting scope on it?

That sirui is discontinued. Was looking at the w-1204. Any experience with the newer models?

TheDuckKlr we just got a hold of the new SLIK 634, with the twist leg locks and they have been outstanding. We will do a new review on the slik 634 in a few months after we use them a bit more in the field!

You guys need to do a video in how you guys use an angled spotting scope with the rotating collar. It would help in my decision of straight vs angled. I have heard that an angled scope that has a collar to rotate the scope takes a lot of the straight scope benefits.

PNWild How stable is the 634 fully extended when standing. I saw the rating of the slik 634 is 6.6lbs. Has that been a problem?

TheDuckKlr I’ve only had my camera on it so far but my cameras around 5lbs with my 70-200 lens and it hasn’t been an issue why so ever I’ll know more once we get it in the field!

Now I am stuck between the Slik Cf 634 and the Sirui N-1204SK. Also between the MVH500AH and the VA-5. Decisions, decisions
