This brings back memories of working in coal pits. Just a little drizzle turns roads to snot. And for all the people that think a 150ton or larger haul truck has to get good traction cause how heavy it is but trust me when I say it doesn't take much to have ur assend come around real fast. Then the 360s all the way to next switchback starts. Hells scary sometimes but some of it can b fun

Oh boy, brings back memories of when I was working on opencast mines in the UK back in the 80s & 90s, one time I was the truck driver slipping and sliding about, no fun, but interesting I'll say, then into the 90s I was the guy on the dozer, trying to sort out the mess after the rain, best thing was to stop the job for a bit while we sorted the roads out for the trucks, other wise all becomes a real mess with things stuck everywhere, safer in the dozer lol................Can't believe that dozer driver traveling about with blade up, when he should be cleaning up, down where the trucks get loaded, he should be cleaning that up too.

Best thing to do when it rains like that is park everything up and go home and come back tomorrow.

Grader drivers worst nightmare 😂 though the new Cat 18m3 makes a breeze of wet weather recovery. New Komatsu 830-5's have unreal traction capabilities compared to the older models. Quick skim with the grader and a few bowels of gravel from the scraper gets everything running again.
