Hey guys welcome back to another episode of Slipping Out in this one we'll be taking a look behind the scenes of the game Mass Effect including some out of bounds secrets you may never have seen before, how the battle ships work including Sovereign, how navigating the galaxy map works, of course the huge citadel, not to mention some of the cutscenes and where exactly is Shepherd standing at the very end. It's taken me well over two weeks to put this one together so I hope you enjoy it.

I guess I was never Renegade enough for background. But then ... I wonder if that is tied solely on the choice to kill the council. I never let them die in any of my playthrough. Even if I kill the Queen, I always let the council live...only because I want to make sure I have the Destiny Assension.

As long as you have more Renegade points than Paragon, you'll get the red backdrop.

I wish modern games had console commands with a "noclip" cheat. I used to use noclip all the time to find this sort of stuff when I was a kid in various older games.

There are only two DLC for ME1. One of them is a challenge map sort of thing, and the other takes place on an asteroid, so nothing to do with The Citadel.

That was when I first fell in the with the game. That intro screen. And then the ME2 Autoplay DVD, the main menu music on that disk just blew me away. I love this franchise.

I just am always surprised at how much stuff is built into the game and is just sitting somewhere until it's needed. I had always assumed that things appeared when needed, but it makes so much sense why they do it this way (loading times). Awesome video!

It is astonishing to see how much thought was put in get those games together. Action RPG's are always something very special! I worked on a few Indie 2D games so far and it was not a easy task. When i see that 3D games and how they realized all of that... Amazing!

That weird structure at the beginning, you can hear Shepard moving through it by using the analogue stick and I even got inside of it once by mere chance, but just for a few seconds. I always wondered what that was and i've never been able to get back there. It's good to finally find out what it is.

I started the video laughing at Sheppy poking through the Earth, then seeing Sovereign under Eden Prime just... for some reason, that did a better job than any moment in the Trilogy (and the Trilogy did a damn good job) of showing just how fucking massive the Reapers are. Gives me chills. Same thing with the geth ship. Thank you for making these videos. I think seeing things out of bounds can give you an even greater appreciation of the hard work that developers put into games.

Everything from the planet view, the character profile creation, Shepard's bio introduction and the revealing of galactic civilizations and human the destiny changing discovery of 'Mass Effect' I just knew that this was going to epic. Also being a lover of Science and Sci-fi/Science Fiction being my favorite genre, Mass Effect has solidified itself as my favorite game series of all time securing the top spot. Mass Effect Andromeda, ME Galaxy and ME Infiltration I personally still enjoy because they are part of the and expands the Mass Effect Universe.

If you love sci-fi, you might also like a show called "The Expanse". It is honestly the best sci-fi show I have ever seen because it has a gripping plot and is actually also so true to the science.

Joykill Caprica Raised by Wolves Pandora Stargate Atlantis (I haven't watch the entire series yet) I trying to figure how I can get Kodi to curate this stuff more me.

I'm envious of how EASY it must have been for them to put together entirely square levels with sci fi assets. It doesn't have to look natural, it shouldn't look natural. It would have been a lot harder for them to put together nature scenes and rural medieval villages.

I'm surprised you didn't go over the Solcrum map, seeing as the big blue giant was actually a huge 3D model floating above a secondary landscape below the traversable landscape. It was created as a forced-perception illusion, and you can actually see the mountains of the secondary landscape going behind the giant star.

You really can see the Unreal Engine Workflow at play here and it hasn't really changed between 3 and 4. Also: The horizontal elevator ride is a necessity since for the following play sequence you need to have the correct rotation for gravity to function properly.

I became a big Mass Effect fan in my first playthrough. Then I started a new game but with a different gender and class just to have a slightly different experience. I still enjoyed the game on my second playthrough. I will never get tired of seeing sovereign destroyed and the Epic credit music!

I do know that me1 was rushed, mainly due to the fact they re-did the whole idea of the game. Microsoft wanted to do more but at the time didn't have the proper tech to develop their idea so they scrapped it and started over, but by doing that they didn't have a lot of time to finish and polish the game so the other things you see that can't be accessible or out of reach is most likely extra assets. I'm a huge fan of the me series and know a lot. I hope you can find do me2 and me3 so I can see more of them and to answer other questions you may have. But seriously look up the original idea Microsoft had for me1 it looks totally different and I personally like that they scrapped it

@@georgsgrants9925 the original idea or plan was for the game to have the ability to do massive war zones, basically you had non hostile planets and and hostile planets where you could land and basically do what mass effect 1 actually does but on a huge scale, you could use ground vehicles like the makeo or other tank like vehicles or use smaller flying ships; the enemy scale was going to be bigger and enemies were to be on a larger scale (towering in height) but that would be geth mainly. A cool idea they had with the ai, you had your basic team but there were to be additional non essential ai to fight along side with you and use vehicles. These were the ideas they had to scrap because of the processor, it couldn't hold all of the assets at once and the graphics they wanted to use wasn't compatible with Xbox 360, so they had to down grade on top of it. That's why me1 feels kinda empty or "hollow". I love the mass effect series, they add more of their ideas in the later titles but only a small amount. There use to be a video on KZfaq about it but idk if it's still posted anymore. It's not amazing but I hope you like the facts lol
