In this case, running is the very thing that kills the animal even faster, especially when pierced through the upper leg bone(and perhaps already pierced the heart). Moving with rip the heart into peices, and it’s just spirals into a huge irreparable mess from that point.

It's awful I know! But at least that animal got to live free all the way up until the end where it didn't even get eaten alive by another animal just got a single arrow straight through their heart and surely bled out within minutes. Meat from the supermarket comes from animals who aren't able to roam free and are terrified in the end seeing and hearing death within the slaughter house. I wish more would just hunt their food to reduce the inhumanity of factory farming.

‘Forever’ isn’t that long for this animal, what the animal did was something hunters call “death run”. As she runs, the wound will expand and the bleeding will speed up. Most animals in death run typically make it 200-400 meters before they die, and given the placement of this arrow I’d imagine it probably made it 240 meters give or take. A quicker and less violent death than most animals get in the wild.
