Anyone who belives Slot was first choice is deluded we all know Alonso was first choice but he walked away. slot is a yes man who will have no power in tranfers edwards and hughes will sign all the players.klopp walked away due to knowing when edwards came back he was going to loose his power in who we went for in transfers. i hope slot does well as a liverpool fan we will gwt behind him but i have my concerns for the new season

Third choice yes man. The lack of transparency reg fsg and klopp fallout speaks volumes. Fsg are toxic. No financial ambition. Yet again prices are going up. Shirts (horrendous nike kit) and tickets. The promised warchest never happened they just sold coutinho. £300+ a disabled seat is too rich for me. Outpriced the common man/fan.

One thing I love about slot from the other clubs is maintaining a a good style of play managing to keep players fit Something that we haven’t really seen consistently under Klopp Hopefully he keeps being able to do this at Liverpool

Those who were speculating about Xabi or anyone else as Klopp’s successor were the media and fans and not those who are connected with decisions making at Liverpool. When you take into consideration how transfer deals have been done since Klopp came in, a lot is done behind the scenes then we know about. You can have your list of priorities but if the top most priority doesn’t fit your needs; do you go for it because it’s the top? Football world is not an ideal world if it was so, Xabi would be replacing Klopp or Stevie G.

@@jameshansing5396 its not getting rid of two forwards, it is replacing two forwards, using money from selling Salah and replacing him with a younger player, and selling nunez and replacing him because he is a donkey in front of goal.

If you look at feyenoord winning percentage is high.Klopp was perfect, did commendable job but at times was complacent losing matches should have won. Liverpool could lose many matches with mid or relegation threatened table teams.

This is kinda typical us as Liverpool fans. No ofc Slot wasn’t the perfect fit, we took him as the selection of available managers was slim and our first choices turned us down. If he was the perfect fit we would have approached him first and secured his name instantly like we did with Klopp. We can try to dress it up however we like in hindsight but we all noticed the names of the ones who was approached before Slot.

You think it’s credible Slot was first on the list of manger’s to take over one of the biggest clubs in the world from one of the best managers. Slot, a manager 90% of the worlds football fans didn’t know existed 1 month ago. Or we tried hiring others but this is a hard time to get a top name as their not many available and the ones we tried to take said No as Alonso did more or less publicly? You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure this one out despite not working for the club. It’s like celebrating City winning for in a row “as they haven’t been proven guilty yet” we all know they cheated despite non of us being accountants.

@@thelasttime4994 tbh I think I prefer Slot over Ruben, but that’s really not important. What’s worrying is, Liverpool, one of the biggest clubs in the world having problems getting a manager. That doesn’t send the right signals. Managers should be lining up to take over or we should go in and take em from other clubs. Even if we can’t get the best we should get the second best.
