8 ай бұрынWelcome to another video, in this journey we will explore a small mountain range called Kamnik-Savinja Alps just above Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana.
Located just 50 minutes drive from the city this place definitely will give the feeling of being surrounded by beautiful untouched nature.
Bivak Pavla Kemperla, with its unique tower shape located under the summit of Grintovec. Inside there are beds for around 8 people divided into 3 floors with spectacular window views on each floor.
Bivak pod Skuto, is one of the most famous architectural masterpiece in the Slovenia Alps. We arrived in a rather cloudy, misty weather but luckily it cleared quickly to enjoy some of the most beautiful views we have ever seen.

Is it easy to reach the bivac? I mean are there enough signs and stuff I`ve breen trying to find informacion regarding the route but havent found many :( like how many km, time to complete and so on... looks amazing btw

Can you book this or you just show up and hope that theres a bed avaliable ... what happens if there isnt?

Hi, you can not book these bivouacs, they are free to use for everyone. Specially Skuto is most of the time is very occupied, there is tho a rule in the mountains that no one left outside unless they want it. We personally always carry small tent and mattresses to be able to sleep also outside if need it. I would advise to arrive early and go mid week instead of the weekends.

Bivaks should be used in the case of emergency. They are meant for montaineers to seek shelter in in case of bad weather in the montains. The problem today is tourists see these structers as little hotels with great view and free of charge. So people storm this tiny houses in hopes that they will be alone there and could spend a week hopefully. Lol. Mountaneering cottages are meant for crowds, bookings and tourist stuff...

I just tested and it works, which device are you trying with, these are google drive folders, where you will see a download link to the gpx file.
