I'm sorry but none of the standard technique books instruct the lady to virtually bend so far back that her head touches the floor.

Yeah they move beautifully together but her neck looks really forced

Correct! The original technique books never actually taught anyone to dance...that is a guide only And was written when the size of steps were a fraction of todays...

@@mikebirnie6381 Rubbish! The size of step has nothing to do with it, some of the ladies bend almost 90 degrees back away from the man which puts strain on the spine.
